That might have been a “fee” added to the cost of selling the house. Nevada nailed me $1,100 for the privilege of fleeing that state.
Dunno about paying $600 to enter though, that’s weird but not beyond belief.
The people. For the most part they couldn't care less if you died next to them. I grew up in the Midwest where people say hello and talk to each other. Here is CT people ignore one another. I say, "I don't have neighbors - I have people that live next door." That about sums it up.
But my horse appears to be able to count sometimes.
