Because it's an excellent opportunity to show how bass-ackwards and sick the law is in this country. A man can go to jail for dogfighting, but a butcher can live quite comfortably slicing up unborn human babies for a living.

My guess is that if word got out that someone made a handsome living aborting puppies, a certain segment of our population, who never even bats an eyelash about legal human abortion, would have an absolute conniption.
