Bobby Jindal says Barack Obama told him to stop going on TV to criticize him during the oil spill. In comments meant to plug his new book, "Leadership and Crisis," Jindal told Sean Hannity that Obama was so insecure about his public image that he actually tried to prevent him from making more TV appearances where he would criticize Obama for his failed response to the BP oil spill. Jindal’s new book went on sale earlier this week, and as other media has noted, he really chides the president in a way that sitting governors normally don’t do, which has furthered assumptions that he may run for office in 2012, though Jindal denies this. Any president who would try to dictate the public statements of a governor in a state with a major disaster occurring because he’s too obsessed with his image is clearly not fit to be president.

The character assassination machine would have gone into hyperdrive. “Jindal plays politics while Gulf is ruined” etc.
‘O’ has to ramble like this because he had no idea how to answer direct questions. He has NO answers BECAUSE he knows nothing. The ‘all over the map’ kind of answers are political ‘rope a dope’!!

I saw his interview on Hannity. He has come along way. He made Obama look petty.
Obamao also threatened another parish leader about public criticism. It was well reported at the time.
Not sure but I believe it was a Jefferson Parish person who was threatened.
I agree with you. Jindal has lost all support from me. Obama threatens the safety of the U.S. and Jindal hides it. Also, lacking from the story is any mention if Jindal heeded the Obamao’s wishes.

I’m all about Jindal, but my gosh...is there not a single public figure that has not written a book yet?
Geez, slow down on that under the bus toss...its getting so that we are going to need to jack the bus up its getting so crowded under there. Look, is this really a deal-breaker. . .can’t it be seen as somewhat legitimate that perhaps a public squabble with Obama while the Gulf was knee deep in oil may have been bad timing? I think that incredulity does have to simmer awhile before one is able to wrap one’s brain around each and every one of Barry’s mind boggling acts of hubris. I think Jindal’s sole focus at that time was, rightfully, on preventing the oil slick from destroying Louisiana.
Hmm ~ we have numerous Freepers who have poured out enough stuff for several books ~ they are public but they’ve never published any of it as a book.
Tough? This wimp has not rounded up the perpetrators of the the vicious beatings of the two young people leaving a Republican Dinner in downtown NOLA, about a half-block from the "police" station.
The perpetrators are known. When their teeth are in the street, talk to me Bobby. Hannity? His brain is merely a life support system for his hair. He lets Rove and Morris do the mental heavy lifting and is getting to be a real PIA.
Imagine what the media firestorm would have been like if Bush had leaned on Gov. Blank-out or any other public official for criticizing him over the Katrina response.
But if Baraq Sheik Obama does it, it’s no big deal.

I don’t know about insane. But I can see arrested development, petulant child, narcissistic behavior and a mean streak a mile wide.
During the 2008 presidential campaign 0bama had The Missouri Truth Squad made up of some members of the St Louis prosecutors office and law enforcement officers from mid Missouri.
Their job was stop any untruths that might be told about 0bama before the election.
The audacity of the narcissist should have been a tip off as the type person he was at that time and is today.
Actually, now is a better time for this book. There has been sufficient time for reflection yet it is still close to the events discussed. Bobby Jindal has also stated that he will not run for President. I believe him.
The person who deserves our criticism is Mr.Obama.
