Karl Rove appeared on the Scott Hennen Show this afternoon and got asked a question by a listener about the Delaware Senate race and Christine O’Donnell’s claims that he conspired with Mike Castle to undermine her campaign. O’Donnell also claimed that Rove was trying to avoid her.
Rove’s response? He said that O’Donnell wasn’t telling the truth.
He said that he didn’t endorse Castle, that he actually endorsed O’Donnell, and that he hasn’t been trying to endorse her.
Though, Rove also admits that when asked he said that O’Donnell didn’t give Republicans their best chance to win the Senate race in Delaware.
Which, frankly, doesn’t sound like much of an endorsement to me.
Rove also said that O’Donnell added fuel to the fire of rumors about Castle having a homosexual affair with a young man by refusing to condemn the rumors. He suggests that O’Donnell might ultimately have gotten Castle’s endorsement in that race had she reacted differently to those rumors.
Asked about whether or not the Republican party establishment needs to be more reactive to the tea party, Rove said that it’s the establishment that voted in these primaries and that the establishment is the tea party:
Rove also said that he hasn’t said that Sarah Palin is unfit to be President, but said that her travel show about Alaska wasn’t good for her Presidential campaign and that she was too busy filming that show to campaign for Christine O’Donnell:

Since they aren’t Freepers anymore, I doubt it. I don’t think I ran into him.
It was on FOX earlier this week. He was explaining why Sarah didn’t campaign for Christine and other candidates. He said she told him she was too busy finishing up filming to campaign at that time.
Christine O’Donnell and Karl Rove used to date.
I could say more but I’ll leave it at that.

You should have said she won the primary against a very strong and well known competitor. It’s very possible she could win.
But you couldn’t help yourself and you just continue to run on and on.

If Christine was such a lousy candidate how did she beat Castle?
1. It’s their job to support the primary winner.
2. The State Republican Chairman Tom Ross stated unequivocally he would not support Christine.
3. Karl Rove went on the air and all but said she was a loser then claimed to have endorsed her. Yet, here we have him continuing his petty tirade against Christine.

I was at a training with a famous political consultant today and the message he kept drumming into us was, ‘the best person doesn’t always win... The best candidate does.”
The “establishment repubs” and the tea party patriots are polar opposites! He needs to crawl back to his rino cave and STHU!! He’s making a fool of himself.
Rove is so deep in the establishment that he doesn’t care about anything but keeping the core elite in power. Both parties have established themselves as the ruling elite and don’t want to give up power.
The Tea Party is shaking things up and telling BOTH parties that the power resides not with the Rats and not with the Republicans, but with THE PEOPLE.
This isn’t about Christine so much as it is about the State party saying in no uncertain terms they would not support the primary winner and Karl Rover just can’t STFU cuz he is a dog with mange.
But you know they would have lent a hand and a crowbar helping to lift Castle’s candidacy.
So the horrible lies told by Mike Castle were okay? Rove has so hurt himself I’m speechless at what comes out of his mouth next.

Blumenthal the serial liar was a better candidate than his rival who literally nailed him in their debate? I don’t think so.
Stupid voters often elect the worst candidate, just by voting party line or against the Republican in blue states.
The Black Caucus is full of horrid candidates, but they’re reelected time and time again against much “better candidates” with better messages, but those districts vote for the democrat.
I understand the message of the political consultant, but the “best candidate” can’t win either in districts or states stacked against that candidate.

Next day do the same.
Karl Rove’s endorsement was not genuine and of minimal consequence after all of his other actions. It’s kind of like taking a sledgehammer to a car for 2 days and then asking people to buy it.
