Whats with all the recent inappropriate Nazi comparisons? On Tuesday, liberal radio host Mike Malloy likened George W. Bush to Hitler. Now, Glenn Beck has drawn the ire of the Anti-Defamation League by claiming that Jewish billionaire George Soros played a role in the Holocaust.
On his radio show yesterday, Beck gave his listeners a history lesson about Soros, who was born György Schwartz in Hungary in 1930. According to Beck, Soross father is a guy who spoke Esperanza fluentlyEsperanza was developed in the 1880s as the worlds first international language. (Hes mistaken about the name of that language; its Esperanto, not Esperanza, which is Spanish for hope.)
Beck implied that there was something sinister about Esperanza: It was the language of peace, like the U.N. is the house of peace. And it was developed so that everyone could speak the same language, and no one would have to come by their old, tribal language, he said sarcastically. Wed all have a new language. He goes on to say that the Soviets, the Chinese, and Hitler himself all considered embracing Esperanto before discarding it upon finding that its proponents were dangerous. Theyre dangerous to everyone. Thats right: even Hitler didnt want to mess with the guys who spoke a made-up auxiliary language.

If Glenn Beck stated this, he must have had adequate evidence. Never knew him to fabricate information. How would you know if he did?

Just did a search on it and four of the first five entries were Media Matters articles slamming Beck and Coulter for spreading the “lie”.

Soros is the cockroach and Beck is the shiner of light. Cockroaches do not like anyone shining light on them.

Soros admitted it himself, in a 60 Minutes interview he even said he has no guilt and it was one of the best years of his life.

I know bill clinton does not believe in GOD, because of his actions and how he only appeared to believe in GOD when it meant his only hope to retain power. I have the video here of his laughing and joking, coming out of Church after Ron Brown's funeral... until he saw a camera... then he raised his Bible so that it was centered in the lens and he started crying... and I remember jesse jackson and 'toon... both on their knees in the oval orifice... praying for salvation. You think jesse believes in anything other than race pimpin’?

"Well, of course I c--I could be on the other side or I could be the one from whom the thing is being taken away. But there was no sense that I shouldn't be there, because that was--well, actually, in a funny way, it's just like in markets--that if I weren't there--of course, I wasn't doing it, but somebody else would--would--would be taking it away anyhow. And it was the--whether I was there or not, I was only a spectator, the property was being taken away. So the--I had no role in taking away that property. So I had no sense of guilt." (George Soros, 60 Minutes interview transcript, December 20, 1998)

“forgives the young boy who did what he had to do to survive”
You know, Beck’s better than I. Forgiving that kind of error and evil in childhood would lead me to an entirely different place. My people, my family, all that’s dear......and coming face-to-face with someone who helped in destruction and death.......nope. Not gonna happen.

Yeh, bad people do bad things.

While I, too, may disagree with many of Soros views and analysis on the issues, to bring in this kind of innuendo about his past is unacceptable. To hold a young boy responsible for what was going on around him during the Holocaust as part of a larger effort to denigrate the man is repugnant.Unless Beck fabricated that clip of an interview with Soros I don't see where he was wrong. Soros in his own words said 1944 was a happy time in his life. Beck clearly stated that he makes no judgment on what Soros was being forced to do at the age of 14, what he took issue with was that Soros had no remorse for taking the property of fellow Jews and looked upon it as a good experience. One thing about Beck, he researches before he speaks, and if he makes a mistake he corrects it. You don't criticize a man like Soros unless you have facts on your side.
