It’s On! Ed Martin Contests MO-3 Results After “Mathematically Impossible Midnight Surge of Votes”
Gateway Pundit ^ | 11-3-10 | Gateway Pundit

The election in Missouri’s Third Congressional District is being contested. Incumbent Russ Carnahan (D-MO) currently leads Ed Martin (R); however, Ed sent out an email this morning that reads in part:

Candidly, I did not suspect that a pall would be cast over the vote Tuesday. We were on the alert for voter fraud, with teams of poll challengers monitoring polls. However, early n the day we learned that election computer systems were down for a major portion of the day, making it difficult on voters and local election officials.

The we learned that a security firm with ties to Russ Carnahan’s campaign had been hired by the Board of Elections. We do not know why they were hired, or what their role was for this election.

We also saw a mathematically implausible midnight surge of thousands of votes from a handful of precincts.

SUE.

Or just haggle over the price you’re charging for The United States of America.

But DON’T think we DON’T know.

We may have been born at night, but not LAST night.

They have done this before in Missouri. I remember in 2006, Sen. Jim Talent was well ahead of that fat bovine McCaskill, then all of a sudden, they extend the voting hours in St. Louis and pull out all of these magical votes right out of a hat.

I remember that. They extended the voting hours because of “long lines”.....Yeah.

What really hurt here (the Third District is just a couple miles north of me) is that some folks voted for the Constitution and Libertarian Party candidates, enough to deprive Martin of the majority. Everyone knew it would be close, Martin is a good conservative, and still they voted that way. Unfortunate.

Keep up the fight ,Ed Martin!

Giving up just short of ,and or not fighting to the last vote is counted ,is a good part of why Republicans have historically been in the minority.

When the other guy cheats in a "clean fight" then kick 'im in the nuts and slap 'im with a 2x4 so he gets the message for next time.

The RATS pulled this same BS in Connecticut on Tuesday, leading to the downfall of the Pubbie Gubernatorial candidate — manufactured a ballot crisis and got one of their corrupt cronies to keep the polls open two extra hours.

Vote fraud needs to be a capitol offense.

Really.

Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

This is why Governor Elect Scott Walker and the head of the Republican party have said one of their first priorities will be voter ID. No more stolen elections. Every state must do this.

Are these the same machines that were used in Clark County NV! (Diebold) AccuVote-TSX, Election Systems & Software’ iVotronic and Sequoia AVC Edge

WE HAVE A RAT!

For the 2008 election Missouri used the following voting machines in addition to hand-counted paper ballots in some counties. For a county-by-county list of the specific machines (and the source for this section) see Verified Voting’s Verifier tool.

I have a vote for him on a provisional ballot somewhere in the bowels of the Election Board. For some reason, they kicked me off the rolls this time - couldn’t be because I’m probably 1 of about 10 registered Republicans in the city of St. Louis could it?

If we lose a seat, as expected, due to the census, it should now be this one.

There was talk of dividing up Skelton’s district but that seat is now held by Hartzler.

OK.

If vote fraud is a capitol offense,I say set the fine at $5,000 per fraudulent vote in local races,$25,000 for citywide,$100,000 for county offices,$250,000 for state office,$500,000 for U.S. representative,$1,000,000 for US senator ,and $10,000,000 for president.

The Democratic party would thereby have to assume the entire burden of the national debt just in fines assessed.

This is the best news I’ve heard all day. Whan I looked at the usual places this morning on my Blackberry and found this race not in the news, I thought to myself, ‘dear God, don’t tell me that POS CARNY won it!’. Ed Martin is the first fighter we’ve had in my lifetime in MO-3, and the only GOP candidate the national party ever really supported. He’s really the only viable opposition candidate we’ve ever had for that office. He should challenge this race with a recount and he should insist the absentee ballots be counted as well. My understanding is (please correct me here) that in MO absentee’s are only counted in the event of a tie. I watched the Sec of State website up until ~2130 CDT last night and this race was the only one to have hardly any precincts counted by that time. I know the polls in the City of St. Louis were held open, and it wasn’t for lines either. The election rules are simple. If you aren’t in line by 1900 local time, you missed your chance to vote. Period.
