California once again proves that, in the words of Jerry Brown’s former girlfriend, that it marches to the beat of a different drum. Two measures that were widely expected to pass were easily defeated tonight. One would have delayed the state’s green house gas restricting AB 32, the other freed marijuana for legal possession and sale.

Turning down Prop. 23 sanctions the economic kill shot for California. When AB 32 hits, the hateful Greenies and cowardly Liberals will finally have utterly destroyed their first State.

And Jerry Brown gets to be captain of the Titanic. How poetic.

Just a cotton-pickin’ second here...

They voted “no” on pot, and still voted “yes” for governor Moonbeam???

Just amazing. Perhaps all the illegal marijuana has scrambled too many Californian brains.

Nah. They were just too stoned to find the polling places.
Then the munchies hit & they all “ran for the border”. Would loved to have owned a Taco Bell for a day. LOL

Even with unemployment at 12% the real pain has not yet hit California.

IMHO, It will take real catastrophic economic collapse for things to become more conservative in the coastal, electorally determinative areas of California.

Also, there are significant portions of the electorate that are profiting from the current high price of marijuana - it’s the biggest $$ crop in the state! “Legalizing” it would commoditize it.

“And Jerry Brown gets to be captain of the Titanic. How poetic.”

Nothing poetic about it especially when middle class Conservative Californians are aboard the Titanic.

Only the wealthy have enough money to enjoy the trip... they have a lifeboat to jump into.
