You’re kidding! If there’s some huge event in the news that I really want to hear Rush’s, Beck’s, Levin’s take on, I turn on the radio only to find Ingrahamm on the air.

RE: Is “power” measured by dollars earned?

That seems to be what the list implies as they list them according to how much they earn.

But if it is dollars earned, why aren’t Katie Couric ($15 Million/year), Tom Brokaw ($10M/yr), Matt Lauer ($16M/yr), George Stephanopoulos ($8M/yr), Brian Williams ($12.5M/yr), Diane Sawyer ($12M/yr), Christianne Amanpour ($2M/yr), Lawrence O’Donnell ($2M/yr) and Wolf Blitzer ($2M/year ) in the list? They make more than most of the people on that top 50 list.

See here : http://www.tvguide.com/News/Top-TV-Earners-1021717.aspx

It seems like the Newsweek list is crammed with mostly conservative talk show hosts while ignoring the people in the NBC, ABC, CBS list.

What gives?

O’Reilly’s not going to like that he’s behind Beck and Hannity. I LOVE IT. Can’t stand O’Reilly...

I”m sure it’s total earnings: Glenn has radio, does four or five books a year; personal appearances; web; plus FOX. Doesn’t surprise me he out-pulls Bill.

Good propaganda timing. This will be the base for a future
article telling the sheeple that these rich, evil people of
the right-wing media used their hateful influence to swing
the election away from our socialist saviors.

#5 Stewart

Must be tough to be a liberal. Your best power broker is at #5 and is a professional clown.

Sarah should be # 2. Just saying.

My first thought too. Then I thought some more. Why not #1?

I am Sarah’s biggest supporter, she was robbed getting 6. No one can debate that Rush is the biggest influence. However Sarah is a strong # 2 NOT #6

The list is about annual dollar earnings, not influence.

...and Savage?

That rude Wiener? He should be emptying trash cans at an adult bookstore.

It doesn’t matter how likeable you are.

Compensation in TV is based on revenue on your show. O’Reilly is the most watched cable TV program. And he has regular paying advertisers. Beck has fewer viewers and less lucrative advertisers.

All three, Beck, BOR and Hannity write books. But BOR makes less money than Beck and Hannity. I’d love to see the break out sometime.

Don’t be hating the rude Wiener! Yes he is rude, and by definition a Wiener. Despite his egotisitial, yet highly educated demeanor, he has contributed much to the arguments for liberty in modern times.
