With just two days until election day, Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is clearly desperate to stop Republican challenger Sharron Angle. Anyone looking at his campaign website can tell that it is dripping with fear and panic.
Take, for example, an article entitled "The fight for Nevada." You may think it is logical that Reid would at least try to promote the things he has said that he has done for Nevada. Nope. The entire article is a vicious attack piece against Angle, full of lies, mis-characterizations, and desperation.
The very first sentence, in fact, ends with this statement (in bold print): "We have to stop Sharron Angle." Next Reid flails around, trying foolhardily to take down anything he can:
"The fight against Tea Party extremism begins in Nevada, where this radical right-winger raised $14 million last quarter to run negative ads that have been called everything from plain false to outright racist."
Normally Reid tries to separate his attacks, but obviously he's trying to hit a home run here, calling Angle extreme, radical, a liar, and racist all at once. But more than this quote, Reid makes his fear obvious, as he begs:
"I need your help right now. If were going to stop the Tea Party from taking over our country, we have to start by stopping Sharron Angle in Nevada."

Rots of Ruck, Reid.
At first the establishment ignored the TEA Party. Now they are taking over the world. All in 18 months. Amazing.
Too late Harry!
Do you hear something?............................ those pesky crickets
What’s most interesting about feeble crap like this is that the Harry Reids of the world never articulate what is so bad about the Tea Party beyond the lying cliches.
If I wanted to warn someone off from Reid’s party, I’d only have to tell the truth about it—the legislation passed, the goals, the things they’ve actually said and done.
That’s what Harry’s reduced to—fighting phantoms. The perfect political ending for this vile specter of a man.
Your headline says county. Do you mean country?
I luv taking over the world-it’s such a rush...I just need to get me one of those evil looking hairless cats to hold when I go vote. BBBWWWWHHHHHaaaaaaaa!
Searchlight needs and ex-Senator as a tourist attraction. There’s a vacant gas station that coulod serve as his official library.
He and his comrades didn’t care what the majority of America thought about the health care legislation they rammed down our throat, or the fact that we don’t want amnesty. When the will of the people differs from their agenda, they don’t care about the will of the people. Now they want to paint the people (e.g. the Tea Party) as extremists.
I think it would be a good idea to forego coffee on Nov 2 and have Tea time instead...in every workplace in the country....Tea should be on the menu!! Just bring your own teabag....
Wow! Reid is admitting that the “Tea Party” is now the driving force behind the impending massive GOP turnouts.
And “Stop the Tea Party”?
Eeeeeeeek!
Mr. Reid,
Tea Party people are the collective voters, Mr. Reid.
THE VOTERS!
Your time is up, Mr. Reid.
And unfortunately, I don’t really feel sorry for you.
Sincerely yours,
Margotte, an American (aka Tea Party member)

In a way, he’s right I suppose, The TP does want to take over congress (”their” country).
Too late, Dingy
Enjoy your retirement, and keep your eye peeled for rattlers out there... we’d hate to see anything happen to you lol
Sen. Reid has “lost it”, his mind that is.
ROTFL!
I thought the Tea Party was all astroturfed and would have no influence at all.
They have begun setting up the bogeyman for why they lost - the evil Tea Party Nazis. Karl Rove will be blamed too - American Crossroads.
You think they’re going to blame Obama, but they won’t - at least not publicly. Privately, TPTB will be plotting on a way to get Obama off the ticket in 2012, but not publicly. They’re going to try to take down Obama, but make it look like the Republican’s fault. It will be all venom, all the time at the Tea Party and that’s actually a good thing.
If the Democrats go off on a tangent against the The Party for the next two years, rather than regrouping, rethinking, moderating and running on issues, they will face decades in the wilderness.
Yes! Letting the Tea Party take over will be disastrous! Who needs all of that liberty anyway? Lower taxes, more jobs, higher revenues, less regulation, what on earth are those crazies thinking?!
