Sara Gilbert (Roseanne) developed the show, & she'll be joined by Leah Remini (The King of Queens), Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete (21 Jump Street), Marissa Jaret Winokur (Hairspray) & Julie Chen, who hosts Big Brother & The Early Show & is married to CBS' CEO, Leslie Moonves.
Won't hold my breath though.
Sarah’s unscripted delivery is part of her charm and effectiveness. If she sounded like a polished speech maker, she would not be perceived as “one of us”, but one of the “elite”.
I can’t stand em’ when they’re drunk either.
BUT ONLY a little bit-to shorten her sentences slightly.
To preen her, and screen her, turn her into a style of delivery that reflects an elite, or a person who is staged, would RUIN the beauty of her essence. Her ability to relate and make a point with a natural twist that rejects the phony crap, the two sided ambiguous sludge that billy klinton, and hiterly klinton and uhbama etc make. The stuff the liberals gobble up. And then pretend to proclaim as deep when actually it is just the opposite.
I would HATE for Sarah to be remade if it changes her unique ability to relate.
Screw fancy 'smancy' speech, it means NOTHING. Relating to fellow Americans means everything. GW never lost his imperfect cadence...his DIRECT SPEAK was a beautiful thing. Ya always knew what he said and where he stood.
But when he had to deliver a State of the Union address, etc.....HE WAS MAGNIFICENT in his practiced perfection. Sarah will be, too.
I hope after the 2010 races and before the 2012 run, she has some time to come out of campaign mode.
People need to see her serious and reflective. Maybe that is coming after next Tuesday.
