And what’s the USSC going to say? That you can’t have a whole big bunch of people running as “write in” candidates? Or are you bothered by the LIST ~ just sign me up. This is kind of like “jury nullification”!

The Alaska Supreme Court. The decision the other day was temporary pending further consideration.
I doubt SCOTUS would touch this.

Beware of unintended consequences.
If you think your enemy will just lie down because you fired a warning shot, you are mistaken.
If I can SEE this, the DEMS can too. They will assume that a vote for ANYONE on the write in list, was MEANT to be for Murkowski. Their justification is that they ‘know’ that all those who got in on the late WRITE IN list, are not serious candidates for office, and can just be ignored.
Those who say that ‘they’ won’t do this, are ignoring the fact that Murkowski is on a WRITE IN LIST (which is then being given to incoming voters), which basically is illegal to begin with.

I think the Supreme Court should uphold the voting laws of the State of Alaska; no printed campaign materials in the polling place. With them providing a paper with her name on it, in a sense, “puts her on the friggin’ ballot”, and she did not earn a spot on the ballot. She lost her Primary.

Isn't it interesting, and provocative, that oftentimes when someone posts lies -- when they are called out and corrected, they run and hide. Invariably that is their MO.

IIRC, Stevens lost his seat when he was WRONGLY under indictment in ‘08. So now Begich holds that seat thru 2014. No way the Princess would wait that long

There is a large body of informed voters out there these days. This is a great tactical move. GO ALASKA!!!

onyx,
I do not know much about the relationship between Joe and Lisa. It is my understanding that Joe defended Lisa during Troopergate and because of that Lisa appointed Joe's wife to the Alaska Judicial Council. Do you know more about this relationship?

I have been totally honest. Many folks know that I am a long time Alaskan and like many Alaskans will need to work with whom ever is elected.

What's the matter troll, no body wants to talk to you this morning?
Well old Cajun will talk to you, "Go pound sand!".

The race this year is ugly and anyone throwing their hat into the ring needs to check to make sure their head is not in it. This race has the potential to make heroes and end careers of some. If Lisa is close in the race the entire nation will be watching Alaska because the vote counting will not be done until the end of November. tk

Just getting back to replying to some post after being out of pocket for some time. Please send sand. tk

I like most Alaskans would love to free Alaska to develop the natural resources. I have a long history of working in natural resource extraction. Many folks in the lower 48 do not understand that there is very little private land ownership in Alaska. The largest owner of land is the federal government and much is locked up in National Forest, National Monuments, National Parks and other national set asides. For the past 40 years Alaska's Senators and Congressman have fought to unlock Alaska. In the early 80’s I worked with our Alaska elected folks in DC to successfully defeat the large national environmental groups and Congress to unlock portions of Alaska. Needless to say the Sierra club does not send me Christmas cards.
To: tongass kid
Yes. I saw where you already stated you were wrong. Thanks for responding.
So, has that changed your opinion of Sarah ?
