Too late to matter much.

Even if Meek dropped out, he’d still be on the ballot and get enough votes that Rubio still wins.

Seems a little late as absentees and early voting is already underway. It is hard to picture either of these two surpassing Rubio as he is already close to 50% in a 3 way race. If Crist drops out, at least some would drift back to Rubio, not to the far left candidate. If Meek drops out, it might boost Crist some but probably not enough to win the most votes. It also would destroy Sink and the rest of the Dem ticket.

Did they meet at the Green Iguana, by any chance? They serve a wicked Mimosa, I hear.

One would think it’s too late, what with early voting and all three names on the ballot.

Sorry, Charlie.

Not happening- the ballots are printed, votes have been cast in early voting and Charlie is going DOWN.

This is only a rehash of an old discredited rumor. Nothing new.

And the article does not even rise to the title.

Sorry I clicked on it.

...Rubio might find himself in a dead heat with Kendrick Crist, or Charlie Meek. ???

Whatever. They are difficult to tell apart...

My wife and I already sent in our ballots for Crist...........yeah right, we never liked that man. The only votes Crist ever got from our family was when he was running for governor and that was truly while holding our noses. Marco Rubio all the way!

Meek isn’t dropping out - he owes nothing to Crist.Crist is far too egocentric to drop out. I’m watching the clock

We’ve been hearing this for months and nothing has happened.
With a week to go, it’s way too late to have any effect either way.
I think Crist is toast, and the Baraqqis will have to find another “independent” POTUS candidate for 2012 to covertly fund.

No reason to believe that republicans supporting Crist would switch to vote for Meeks. The democrats probably would go back to Meeks, but if it is clear Crist isn’t going to win anyway, I expect the democrats WILL vote for Meeks just because he’s their democrat and they won’t want to look like racists.

And I can’t imagine the 20% still supporting Meeks to jump to Crist, who they see as the spoiler keeping them from winning with their chosen candidate. At least not the blacks — and Crist would need the entire 20%, and then some, to be sure of beating Rubio.

Plus, this close to election? They’ve already had early voting so people are already splitting the vote, and they can’t change machines, and it would be hard for them to get paperwork out to tell their supporters to vote for the other candidate at this point.

Frankly, if I was a Rubio supporter, I’d be pushing this story for all it’s worth, since it will tend to depress voters who might think their chosen candidate is going to drop out.

I think Crist should be crucified first before we see if he resurrects.

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

Hasn’t early voting already started in FL? If so, many votes have already been cast for both Crist and Meek.
