NPR CEO who fired Juan Williams runs away from O’Reilly Factor ambush interview

The NPR CEO who fired Juan Williams runs away from an O’Reilly Factor ambush interview. For anyone who’s ever watched the O’Reilly Factor from time to time, you know that one of the highlights of O’Reilly’s brand of journalism is taking the interview to the guest, if the guest is a major-league coward who’s too afraid to enter the so-called "No Spin Zone." As it just so happens, NPR CEO Vivian Schiller, the villain responsible for the Juan Williams firing out of political correctness and liberal double-standards, fits the brand of "coward" perfectly. So after less than a week of failing to show up in the "No Spin Zone" as O’Reilly contentiously demanded, what is there left to do? Why, send an O’Reilly Factor producer and camera crew to the cowardly Vivian Schiller for some good, old-fashioned ambush journalism, of course! Predictably, when Factor producer Jesse Watters stuck the mic in her face and asked her some point-blank questions, coward-Schiller ran away like a good, little liberal, making excuses about some weird "meeting" or something.

NPR did not disclose Schiller's salary, but pays its top talent less than commercial media does. Steve Inskeep and Renee Montaigne, co-hosts of NPR's Morning Edition, each earn more than $300,000 a year, according to IRS filings provided by Guidestar.

I think O’Reilly and Fox should stop flogging this dead horse. They’ve been dragging the carcass around the village square long after the point was made.

O’Reilly is indirectly responsible for getting Williams fired because he couldn’t let his incident on The View go.

It’s time for O’Reilly to grow up and move on.

****I think O’Reilly and Fox should stop flogging this dead horse.****

I’m inclined to agree with you - Juan Williams is probably ready to let it die and move on.

Except for drawing attention to the wasted tax-payer money spent on National Propaganda Rip-off, Fox should focus on the elections!!

Imho, they should keep flogging it until they can no longer lift their arms. While at it, they should investigate NPR from top to bottom for more ammunition.

I think that keeping up the pressure on defunding NPR is a good idea, but it’s time to stop exploiting Juan Williams. He needs time to heal.

Anything that points out the smug hypocrisy of the odious NPR should be hammered home until the hammer wears out.

It was revealed about thirty years ago that the manager of the local public broadcast affiliate made about twice as much as the manager of a local commercial station.

$300K that we the citizens pay, for garbage that no one wants to listen to.

I am happy that this incident has raised the question of OUR money going to NPR. To me, it should either survive on its own or die. Juan Williams will be fine in the end. Just a thought.
