Al thinks it had nothing to do with 50 years and trillions spent on great society programs?
He doesn’t think taking government jobs that historically paid 50% of the private sector wages and making them union, raising pay 600% with some retiring at 50 with 80% pay isn’t a problem when that costs trillions as well.
They forget to look at lots of the sources of fiscal problems in this country because they feel THAT WAS GOOD.
Just because some people think they had good intent, doesn’t mean a disaster isn’t a disaster.

What really happened is that a huge percentage of conservatives gladly climbed into the backseat while George Bush drove the Republican Party over the cliff.
... but it didn’t crash hard, it was still drivable if somewhat dented. Then Obama came along, put it up on blocks, stole all the wheels and ripped out the stereo. Then he set it on fire.
And to think this tool was a writer on “Saturday Night Live” back when it was really good.
