Ive written about this before but with the release of the WIKILEAKS documents, even Wired magazine acknowledges that US troops found chemical and biological weapons in Iraq. But dont worry; if you liberals keep telling yourself Bush Lied youll get through this.
By late 2003, even the Bush White Houses staunchest defenders were starting to give up on the idea that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
But for years afterward, WikiLeaks newly-released Iraq war documents reveal, U.S. troops continued to find chemical weapons labs, encounter insurgent specialists in toxins, and uncover weapons of mass destruction
In August 2004, for instance, American forces surreptitiously purchased what they believed to be containers of liquid sulfur mustard, a toxic blister agent used as a chemical weapon since World War I. The troops tested the liquid, and reported two positive results for blister. The chemical was then triple-sealed and transported to a secure site outside their base.

Is there someone that can cite Pres. G. W. Bush as having stated definitively and with certainty that Saddam Hussein had in his possession WMD? Some highly placed officials during the Clinton admin. came much closer than Dubya did to making such assertions.
God bless you, sir, and THANK YOU for your service. :o)
At any rate, you think if they found a live nuke in someones basement in Chicago, that anyone without a secret clearance would be told about it ?
Saddam HAD to have WMD just to counter what the Iranians are and were doing.
Wow. Excellent info. I should have read all the posts on the thread before posting my response above. In a hurry.
They did announce some of these discoveries, and they did show pictures. I remember it quite well.
It wasn’t enough for the MSM, though. They ignored it because unless there were eleventy-jillion giant nuclear bombs lines up in a row with a sign that said “Saddam’s Weapons of Mass Destruction,” it didn’t count.
He NEVER said it. The closest anyone came was Tenent who told Bush it was a “slam dunk” that there were WMDs in Iraq. Bush always said the “THREAT” that Saddam had, or could share, WMDs was sufficient, and I agree. Had not a single WMD been found (and there were plenty), it still would have justified going into a nation that had repeatedly USED WMDs in the past and could give them to al-Queda.
I remember that also, but that's not what was being said in the early part of this thread. It was being said that significant amounts of WMD were found in Iraq, but that the Bush administration declined to acknowledge and display the finds due to some unspecified, grave national security concerns.
That I don't buy at all.
