Ping! Been a long time since I rock-and-rolled!
Sounds like a typical rez.
Well.. damn!
Is that the Apache up at White mountains?
LOL!
At least it’s A DRY HEAT!!!!!!!
Sounds like that sh*th*le that passes itself off as Oklahoma! What a POS “State”.
You’re evidently a big city person. The only thing I caught that I would have a problem with is the dead cow. Unless I am missing some kind of deeply embedded irony, your perspective seems rather elitist.
LOL
You fell for it eh? PHS = crap nobody else will touch
A bud of mine is looking at a gig in Bethel AK
Told him to fly in first and lok it over - winter is too log otherwise.
He will be up EOM, can’t wait for his AAR.
Still better than working a pit like El Paso or some places in SoCal
Huzzah! Please add me to your ping list good sir.
As I have said before - You Need To Publish.
Tatt :)
Sounds like you are off to a rough start.
But I’m sure you will be so-happy-in-love with your great job at the nice hospital.
/sarc
Can’t wait to hear move about it.
You have got to get a pic of that sign with the appropriate mess in the background.
Good writing, how about some more when you have the time?
Ditto.
Please add me to your ping list as well!
Great to see you again!
(did the rez lack internet, hmmmmmmm?)
Sounds like the beginning of an interesting story.
It probably would have been better to visit the site before you accepted the position. If they were not willing to pay for an on site interview, then photos of the hospital and living quarters would have given you an idea of what to expect.
That was short and left me wanting more. Ill give you a pass since it sounds like youre just starting this adventure. You owe us periodic updates you know. Youre not just going to leave us hanging are you? That would be very bad!
Indian reservation is another name for indian plantation, yet another example of failed liberal ideology. My hyper liberal and chronically lazy cousin lived on a reservation to ‘help’ the indians. Not sure how much she helped them but I do know she was as poor as they were. Guess she was there for ‘moral’ support. LOL, Im sure they were all warmed by her generosity.
Think of it this way, you never had to leave the country to gain experience working/living in a 3rd world country. Im sure that will be a plus on your resume. Perhaps an intercity hospital will find that attractive?
Dude, you could have asked some of us who have lived in the intermountain west and we would have been happy to give you the real poop on the situation.
Really.
