Andrew Russo for State Senate (NY- District 49)

Supporting Andrew Russo for State Senate is the right thing to do for New York – he gets it. “The system in Albany is broken and our state is going bankrupt,” says Republican and Conservative Party candidate of Central New York’s 49th District, Andrew Russo.

When Andrew tells us he is a non-politician candidate, we should believe him – he talks common sense and is focused on effective government not the kind of wheeling and dealing that politicians have been doing in Albany for years.

“Our current state senator should have been fighting for a better tax environment for our middle class district. Lowering the tax burden would incentive job growth. Politicians continue to tax and spend and the result is we are losing jobs. Lowering corporate taxes moves equity from the hands of the government into the hands of the job creators.”

“My opponent voted for the 2009 budget – the worst in New York State history. In 2010, my opponent voted to implement an increase in taxes per person at the rate of $5,400. He also voted for increased rates of state structural spending, rather than decreases! We need more people in Albany who serve our needs, not the interests of the special interest groups who have bullied their way into the decision-making process.”

With 2010 being the year of the anti-incumbent, independent-minded Andrew Russo presents a perfect opportunity for the voters to say “NO” to the status quo and send one of us to the State Senate. “If you keep voting incumbents to public office, they have no reason to change their behavior,” Russo explains, “they will continue to avoid priorities and use bad policies that have hurt New Yorkers.”
