As Christine O’Donnell Begins To Surge, Obama, Biden, and Franken Head To Delaware
A Time For Choosing ^ | October 8, 2010...3:09 pm | Gary P Jackson

Although some polls released for public consumption show Christine O’Donnell still having a bit of a hill to climb, internal polling in the Coons camp obviously paints a very different picture. With massive losses expected for the Marxist-democrat party next month, why else would Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Al Franken be going to tiny Delaware, which we have been told is such an easy win for Coons?

We know the answer: PANIC!

Can I say this?

I love Christine O’Donnell. I think she’s a good gal and a good candidate and I want her to WIN.

That said, my complaint with her ads (and btw, I’m not sure how to “fix” it) is she seems too YOUNG to be a Senator. Yes, I know she is 40+ years old, but she appears so youthful, it’s not hard for me to imagine a voter would find it hard to pull the lever for her. Btw, I wish I could have whatever she is taking. LOL

But in a case like this, looking young is not an advantage (nor is looking like Mike Castle, btw. LOL). Honest to God, she looks about 27 in her commercials. She needs to take a page out of Jennifer Granholm’s campaign (another pretty, young looking candiate, although a leftwing nut). When she ran for Gov. of Michigan, her campaign ads were in black and white, and she WORE HER GLASSES. Because of it, those ads gave her a more serious gravitas, so the silly voters of MI elected her.

I hope Christine’s next round of commercials shows her in her glasses, consulting with others who have endorsed her, whether Palin, Newt, Huckabee, or veterans or whatever...looking business-like and mature (older). Also, if she hasn’t done so (and I imagine she has) she should tell the voters: “I’m running for a seat that will expire. If I don’t do what I promise that I will, you should vote me out. I am a placeholder. When I have not made the voters of Delaware proud, you should vote me out of office.”

I have my fingers and toes crossed for her.

Did Odonnell release internal polling in the primary that showed her surging?

Not that I’m aware of. That’s why I’m asking why not release the data if she is surging to help get leaners onboard the O’Donnell tide.

they will try to spin it as a major victory over the tea party.

No doubt about it. It'll be portrayed as '0bama's power'!

That will be very difficult to do if DE is the only victory the marxists have on November 2. If Odonnel loses, but the pubs take the house and senate anyway, a very possible scenario, painting DE as a great victory for Obama and the dems is going to look very pathetic....LOL!

It would be great to have Obama helping Republicans nationalize these elections but I doubt even he is that stupid.
Though that can’t be ruled out. If O’Donnell’s candidacy draws him into cutting Dems’ throats even her worse critics will end up rejoicing she beat Castle!

No, all this is is DE is about the only place O and Biden both have positive numbers and can campaign together.
We may not see that happen again this election.

She has got some great PR people working for her now. I love the two “I’m You” ads.

If I were her, I would simply release an ad showing Lenin, Marx and Mao’s arrival and subsequent endorsement of her opponent....

0bama, Biden and Franken all at the same venue?

Hmmmmm - the public may well have difficulty telling the clowns from the politicians.

I can see why they would do that, but I think it’s a mistaken tactic. The clock is on the verge of striking midnight and I just don’t think there’s much the Dems can do to change their future.

Biden was in King County yesterday and though he is always good for a laugh, his visit was a major flop.

Their strategy also could backfire. It appears every time Obama opens his mouth his poll numbers drop. And it is almost a guarantee that Biden will make a gaffe. Franken, the same could be said about him. We have to remember the only thing other then religion that drives libbies crazy is the thought of losing power. My guess is O’Donnell’s numbers fly upwards after this circus from the libs.

Also Dems think DE is a sure win. By going there they will claim, after the tsunami, that they were personally successful somewhere.

Imagine the story if Palin goes then O’Donnell wins. The press won’t know what to do with itself until it figures out that not only Biden, Obama, etc. lost to Palin but Rove did too.

Gee, I don't know, it's going to be hard working against the honesty of Obama, the intelligence of Biden, and the wise dignity of Franken...

What insurmountable challenges await? Fighting against the beauty of Michelle? The sexual allure of Pelosi? The virile manliness of Reid? The patriotism of Schumer?

You are absolutely correct in your analysis of the ad and I might add that it's possible to critique ads while rooting for Christine passionately!

She DOES look young.....although it's more a lack of "gravitas" in the rather stark shots of just her head and shoulders.

My immediate reaction to the first commercial was this surrealistic feeling that here is this cute Sally Fields type saying, "You love me, you really, really love me."

She just didn't LOOK like a potential senator given the complete lack of supporting senatorial "clues" in the shot.

I hope this will change....things like eyeglasses DO help......sitting at a desk with pen in hand and flanked by a couple of American flags DOES help......a small American flag pin on a business suit lapel......

I like the simplicity of her ads....but a few strategic touches to give her more senatorial "seriousness" and "stature" should now be added, in my humblest of opinions.

“To all of her detractors, mainly on the other side but including Rove, Sauerkrauthammer, and probably David Schnooks (Brooks), Kathleen Parker, and Gerson-—

If they can have Al Franken, we can surely have Christine O’ Donnell.”

Rush summed it up the same way. Even if Christine is the MONSTER they claim she is - she’s ONE VOTE out of a hundred, and will offset Franken, who won in a stolen election.

That is virtually ALL SHE CAN DO - the Republicans are INSANE for working against her, after she won the Primary - she is ONE VOTE and she can offset Franken.

WHAT THE HELL IS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND ABOUT THAT??
