I know the family of Ms. Peter's they come from Yonkers where I grew up. I did not know that trivia about her and Chris Walken. Great stuff. My dad worked in Derobertis when he was a kid. He ate all the Canoli. My dad lived at 253 E. 10th street. My Grandmother lived there 50 years until she died in 1990. We also would get an Italian sandwich that was liver and onions on a delish roll. That was a store in the same area but I don't remember the name. Great memories.

Too good a thread to let go.
Anyone for a good cabbage soup?
Borscht or the old “Mayo Clinic Weight Loss Presurgery” soup?

That looks good, and is a soup that I have not had.
Thanks!

Looks good, I made some last week. Not as good as the ex-wife made but I used better meat, pork neck bone meat. I'm missing something, just haven't figured it out yet. Some spice that I just can't recall.

Thank you all for the suggestion. Made some “avgolemono” (I called it Greek chicken soup because I couldn’t pronounce it) tonight and it was a big hit. Never had it before. Very very yummy.
