NJ Dem Recruited Phony Tea Party Candidate
Legal Insurrection ^ | October 8, 2010 | William A. Jacobson

What is it with my law school classmates?

First it was Eliott Spitzer.

Now it's Congressman John Adler. No, not in that way.

Adler, a Democrat from southern New Jersey, is a freshman congressman, swept into office on Obama's coattails in a conservative district. Adler came out early against Obamacare, recognizing his precarious position, and has been among the most conservative Democrats in the House.

Adler was popular in his district, but he really pulled a boneheaded move which may cost him the election now that it has become public.

Adler's campaign staff, apparently with Adler's knowledge, set up a faux Tea Party candidate to run in order to take votes away from Adler's Republican rival.

At the very least Steele and Co. should see it as their business to fight for legal and clean elections everywhere. I’d think the RNC leaders would take the opportunity to speak out on this and all attempts to usurp our process and put the usurpers in the full light of day for inspection.

Didn’t Democrats/liberals set up TEA parties in Nevada and other states too?

Yes, and in Florida a Tea Party candidate in Alan Grayson’s district is siphoning off at least 10% of the vote. She’s allegedly being funded by the Dems.

Step 1. Purge all voter rolls.
Step 2. Everyone re-registers to vote.
Step 4. Term Limits

Yep, the fake TEA party candidate in Nevada, is a real slimeball. Trying to help Reid, of course.

Term limits would be a disaster!

Who is a term-limited congressman going to support?

His constituents who can’t re-elect him, or monied interests on K Street who will hire him once he’s out?

“His constituents who can’t re-elect him, or monied interests on K Street who will hire him once he’s out?”

Hire him to do what? Lobby other congressmen who will be out of office in 2-4 years who will become lobbyists also?

If you put in term limits the lobbyists go away. They are no longer of any use to the establishment.
