I love it.....the ObamaCare tumble: (h/t Gateway Pundit)
As Obama administration officials put into place the first major wave of changes under the health care legislation, they have tried to defuse stiffening resistance from companies like McDonalds and some insurers by granting dozens of waivers to maintain even minimal coverage far below the new laws standards. The waivers have been issued in the last several weeks as part of a broader strategic effort to stave off threats by some health insurers to abandon markets, drop out of the business altogether or refuse to sell certain policies.
Among those that administration officials hoped to mollify with waivers were some big insurers, some smaller employers and McDonalds, which went so far as to warn that the regulations could force it to strip workers of existing coverage.
At a time when the midterm elections are looming and Republicans have been vocal in campaigning against the law, reaction to the rollout has been closely watched.
To date, the administration has given about 30 insurers, employers and union plans, responsible for covering about one million people, one-year waivers on the new rules that phase out annual limits on coverage for limited-benefit plans, also known as mini-meds. Applicants said their premiums would increase significantly, in some cases doubling or more. These early exemptions offer the first signs of how the administration may tackle an even more difficult hurdle: the resistance from insurers and others against proposed regulations that will determine how much insurers spend on consumers health care versus administrative overhead, a major cornerstone of the law.
David Whelan asks the obvious question. If all it takes for these companies to get out from under the ObamaCare monstrosity is to ask...can individuals ask and receive the same kind of generosity from our Socialist leaders?
I kinda doubt it.

This is the definition of tyranny.
This is clearly not what our Founding Father’s intended.
This is clearly impeachment material.
I’ll bring a cold bucket of tar and some old feather pillows...Who can bring a rail road tie?
Some are more equal than others.
OK, so the waiver goes into effect now and expires....12 months before the Messiah’s attempt at re-election - that might be even better!
For those who have taken the time to read "Animal Farm"..., this is obvious! Remember what was inscribed above the barn...
ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL, BUT SOME ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS
Get used to it...
So far I have not heard of any specific denials, that will be the key on this.
.
I refuse to live in Animal Farm America.
I refuse to let this happen to my country.
I am aching to protest this man, this petty tyrant.
“If all it takes for these companies to get out from under the ObamaCare monstrosity is to ask..”
At the moment, that MAY be all. In the future, it will certainly involve campaign contributions. That’s how fascism works. “Stakeholders” buy stakes in government largess.

I believe the tar has to be very hot for proper flowing characteristics.
I guess this regime really wants war, so badly they can taste it...
I know...I am making a political statement, not a threat to do any person damage.
I was calling for a protest with pitchforks and torches earlier...Too many thought I was trying to foment violence.
I am not.
I think the tar and the feathers can convey the same symbolism without conveying the same degree of violence.
But if the time comes to make warm tar, that’s easy enough.
This regime needs to be confronted...We need to know are they secretly chickens or are they the tyrants I suspect they are...And if they be tyrants, they need to defend themselves as such.
Seriously, if I was CEO of Burger King, Wendy’s, Subway, Arby’s, Hardees, Pizza Hut, etc., I would be really upset if this exemption is just for McDonald’s. And if I was the CEO of Walmart, K-Mart, Target, or Dollar Stores, I would be really upset if the exemption was only for fast foods. And if I was the CEO of Penney’s, Kohl’s Sears, Macy’s, or Nordstrom’s, I would be super upset as well. And If I was the CEO of Intel, Apple, DuPont, Dow, etc. I would be really angry...get my drift...every corporation should be asking for an exemption if McDonald’s get’s one!!...
Kinda reminds me of when Obamacare was passed and certain states such as NEBRASKA were getting exemptions...hmmm, yes indeed, some corporations are more equal than others :(
Get a job at McDonald's??
This is what it’s really all about. Power. Having the big corporate honchos groveling before the Government weenies.
The people need a champion to fight the Jabberwocky.
O Frabjous Day! Roll out the Oraculum and tell me when thou shalt arrive! Sitting here with my teacup and the Mad Hatter....who I guess is the talk radio host pontificating now.
The Jabberwocky is of course the big Socialist monstrosity government bureaucracy that is strangling our economy and reducing America to second-tier nation status. We remove it by voting in November.
This is the definition of tyranny.
This is clearly not what our Founding Fathers intended.
This is clearly impeachment material.
Ill bring a cold bucket of tar and some old feather pillows...Who can bring a rail road tie?
I agree with you to a point. The time for action was Nov. 2008. It is too late. The law won’t be repealed. That’s just political posturing. People will suffer for decades because of this.
