There are a bunch more issues that Kirk would support that no Democrat would. Yeah, he’s a socially liberal RINO, but he is still far better than a liberal Democrat.

You forgot the fact that Mark Kirk voted YES on Cap & Trade legislation, and it was only after he was pilloried on the radio by WLS' Don Wade and countless callers to the show that Kirk appeared on that he finally admitted that vote was "a mistake" and that he hadn't read the complete legislation.

Sorry, can't vote for someone who votes YES to bills that they DO NOT READ.
