The analogy is that some people around here will shill and flak for ANYONE running with an “R” label, no matter how execrable they are. The ACU rating is meaningless, because it never tells the whole story. The analogy still falls apart despite your need to dismiss the ACU ratings which do tell a story, even if not "the whole story." Kirk is no Patty Murray and any claim to the contrary is purely counter-factual. No, none of us would support someone who has been a loyal, leftist Democratic vote in the Senate if she just changed her party label. Kirk is not any of those things, so epic fail on the analogy.

The time to take after Republicans you don't like is in the primary. Afterwards, you're just helping the Democrats. And that sir, is a fact. I'd rather shill for "anything with an R after their name" than indirectly do so for a Democrat by undermining Republicans from whom we have some hope of conservative votes more than half the time than from Democrats from whom we'll get nothing but liberal votes.

Yes, you'll say you're for the electrician not for the Dem. But come on dude--step into reality. A no-name nobody with no money isn't going to win--not even close. You'd need EVERYONE now supporting Kirk to suddenly rush over to this guy's side. You REALLY think that's going to happen? Reality. It's a wonderful concept.

I’m sorry, but that’s nonsense. Using a single ratings chart on a handful of votes which doesn’t tell you about the entirety of the person. You’ve been informed repeatedly about the who, what, why and where in regards to Kirk, and you simply dismiss it ALL, merely because he has an “R” label. You want to be an “R” flunky, fine, but I’m a Conservative, and so is this website, and you’re still shilling for a dangerous left-wing phony. Have you ANY standards for ideological acceptability ?

Oh really? I seem to recall a bunch of "conservative" freepers slobbering all over Al Gore's running mate Joe LIEberman for precisely that reason. And LIEberman didn't even change his party label by choice, he was thrown out of the RAT party despite doing their bidding 90% of the time.
