Kirk is no Patty Murray and any claim to the contrary is purely counter-factual. No, none of us would support someone who has been a loyal, leftist Democratic vote in the Senate if she just changed her party label. Kirk is not any of those things, so epic fail on the analogy.

The time to take after Republicans you don't like is in the primary. Afterwards, you're just helping the Democrats. And that sir, is a fact. I'd rather shill for "anything with an R after their name" than indirectly do so for a Democrat by undermining Republicans from whom we have some hope of conservative votes more than half the time than from Democrats from whom we'll get nothing but liberal votes.
