Elizabeth Hasselbeck, co-host on the The View, says that the Tea Party is like bed bugs in that they are many in number, nobody knows where they are coming from, and they are powerful little suckers.
Everyone thinks the Tea Party is automatically in favor of the Republicans, said Hasselbeck during Tuesday mornings Hot Topics segment. The Republicans dont even have control of them. Theyre like bed bugs, okay? My point beingthey are many in number and nobody knows where theyre coming from, but they are powerful little suckers and they took the wind out of Mike Castle in Delaware.

Hasselbeck is a RINO, a token Repub being used to pretend that there is some sort of balance on that idiotic show.
Elizabeth Hasselbeck...sigh... we no longer know you.
Marketing idea...bedbug inside a tea bag...
Well, it that’s what it takes to wake Americans up and get them out of the bed...we’ll bug the hell out of them.
Sounds like she is sucking up to her colleagues on the show. She ought to realize that the same things can be said of talk show hosts.
Did any of you actually watch what she said?
I kinda liked her metaphor.
It’s not nice to take things out of context. Mrs. H is being criticized (as conservatives often are) for speaking the truth. Too bad this time the brickbats are coming from her own side.
Hassel-back is one of the dumbest opinion people on TV, which is why she is on that show. She is RNC Hannity’s buddy, which should tell you alot. She is almost like Megan McCain, except not fat.
And Hasselbeck is like a ditzy cheerleader on a Disney TV show, “okay?”
Is there no end to the press’ disdain and contempt for honest, hardworking Americans with conservative principals?
Hasselbeck jumps the shark.
Dumb broad!
I started to watch this but it starts out with that ugly frog, and I just finished eating and I don’t want to lose it so I turned it off and who gives a rat’s patoot what any of those extremely low-IQ morons think, including the “republican” among them?
Elizabeth Hasselback isn’t “the press.” She’s just a television personality.
That said, I don’t think her description of Tea Partiers as “many in number and nobody knows where theyre coming from, but they are powerful little suckers and they took the wind out of Mike Castle in Delaware” is contemptuous at all.
Sounds right on to me, and somewhat admirable.
That girl's about as sharp as a bag of rocks.
I agree with her.
No, the TPers are NOT Republicans, nor should they be.
We should destroy the R party along with the rest of the scum.
TPers should vote all real Americans in—not AINOs!
Hopefully they will back some good American independents, Constitutionalists, libertarians, etc.
GOD Bless Americans!
It's actually kind of cute.
We've been thinking of a new line of art work where we feature female mosquitoes as flying/breeding Luchadoras, the world consisting of a gigantic wrestling ring with ponds and water filled old hubcaps lying about. Should be very colorful stuff. Now, BED BUGS ~ with handmade signs, trouncing slugs or something.
WE can call that our "BUG WORLD" line.
I wouldn’t have that show on in my house, but I know who Elizabeth Hasselbeck is, and I really can’t tell if she’s slamming Tea Party folk, or if it was just a poor choice of
words. I remember the hell Howard Cosell caught for innocently (without malice) calling a player a monkey.
