May not be the chief TV critic for the Washington Post or The Wall Street Journal - just my friend Todd Greenberg. I thought it was entertaining enough to post (and right on target!):
They open up with smooth jazz. Oh yeah. This is going to be fun. Parker says they're not going be partisan, they're going to do something "different.".
Parker can barely open her mouth. Its weird.
Parker tells Spitzer to stop interupting her - says she won't tell a Democrat (Spitzer?) which Republican told her they won't run if Palin runs. Confused. I thought she said they weren't going to be partisan?
Spitzer opens up talking about how Obama should fire Giethner. Parker opens up criticizing Palin. Tells her to stop pretending she'll run. Oh... they're taking opposite views. Something different? I get it.Guests are now Andrew Breitbart and Tom Frank. Breitbart really? This segment is called "The Arena."
Blah blah blah We're having a reasoned discussion. Spitzer is dominating this segment. Talking about Giethner, Palin, and the Tea Party.
I regret choosing to watch this. What I really want is a slice of pizza. They're asking about the Shirley Sherrod story. Breitbart gave a non-answer answer. Let's end the segment on a two-month old story.
Looks like a lot of taped pieces. Palin bashing coming up.
Elizabeth Warren is next. Oh my f'n God. I'm going to kill myself. She's creating the new consumer protection agency. This block is called "The Headliner." Professional wrestling starts at 9pm. John Cena lost his match at Hell in a Cell last night so now he has to join Nexus. Will he go through with it? Who were the masked men who attacked him?
My roommate Steve just told me he finally saw The Godfather. He's talking about it like it just came out. He said it was amazing. Duh?
I have no idea what they're talking about.
Guest Aaron Sorkin coming up.
This segment is called "Person of Interest." They're playing A Few Good Men clip. They show the walk-up and play the jazz music again.
Start off by talking about The West Wing. Parker asks about Palin. Sorkin calls her an idiot. Still on West Wing. Spitzer wants a West Wing sequal.
They play a Social Network clip. Sorkin says please don't not see the movie because of his politics. This clip is good. I will go see this movie. Here's the Spitzer solo segment. Its about some guy he prosecuted when he was AG. Smooth jazz walk-up. They like each other now. This segment is called "Unfinished Business" - a rehash of a case he prosecuted back in the day. I am now in my room looking at photos of Ashley Dupre, don't worry door is open. Remember the song from her Myspace?
They're acknwledging they have been tough on Palin. This is the equivalent of me telling Jennifer I do not like her skirt. I would never say that to Jen, she dresses tastefully and with class unlike other ladies of our staff.
This next segment is "Political Party" with some no names to talk about everthing. One panelist wrote a play in the third grade about the Exxon Valdez. Another panelist she won a wing-eating contest. They are talking about Palin's fashion. Now they're being positive about her. What celeb would you like as a presidential candidate? This is sooooooooo painful.
The guy from The Nation is talking about his cavities. Guilty pleasures is the topic.
Its over. This was worse than watching Olbermann. But it did give me an idea to spice up my life... Smooth Jazz.
This HAS to be an exaggeration. I mean, I'm sure they're pretty bad, but no one, and I mean no one, is as awful as Olbermann.
Wow...Hyperbole or a stark warning? “Worse than Obermann” needs to be ratings label, like for Mature Audiences...but for Liberals and Masochists.
What I really want to know, though, is: Exactly how long did “Steve” reside under that rock?
WTO (Worse Than Olbermann) - Unsuitable for ANY audience except certified lib-tards, left-leaning college students who are still trying to "find their identity" and/or the "zombie drunk".
I’m not watching CNN again until they bring the brains of the outfit back, Rick Sanchez!
Choosing which of these programs to watch sounds like deciding between a colonoscopy and a root canal. In Cuba.
LOL. Perfect. Submit that to the FCC next time we hear anyone discussing the unFairness Doctrine.
Second that. I mean, although Parker Spitzer very well may not be good TV, most of the reason I find Keith unwatchable is that I know perfectly well he’s capable of better. Or at least he used to be be a lot better at hiding his raging-egotistical-look-at-me-I’m-the-new-Ed-Murrow side.
...with NO anesthesia.
Of course, this was back when he was doing sports, but still...
In the Cuban health care system, anesthesia is another word for “rum”. And you can’t get much of that, either.
CNN the most Distrusted name in ‘news’.
When Ken Burn's 10th Inning opened with blather from Olberman I had to change the channel. It wasn't that is was Olberman, it was that is was such utter drivel. That's how Ken Burns is: brilliant one minute, a total ranting bore the next.
I caught some of the Brietbart segment while channel surfing during a commercial break of Monday Night Foorball. My review of the show. Spitzer is an arrogant twit who can’t keep his mouth shut. Ms Parker is not unattractive until she opens her mouth.
I saw a couple of promos for this show and they made me sick. Spitzer is a sickening sleaze and Parker is a RINO. No way I’m ever watching the actual show. At least Olbermann’s insanity is good for a laugh.
What kind of name is Parker Spitzer ?
“At least Olbermanns insanity is good for a laugh.”
Indeed. All you have to do is pretend like he’s doing
one of those old SNL news skits. Olbermann basically
just does a parody of himself anyway.
