Demint is needed in the Senate to show the new class of Senators the ropes.

Unbelieveable that Demint is the only senator that is willing to block these outrageous antics like “hotlining”. This is the kind of garbage that these bums have been getting away with for years. Finally someone with backbone. Lets hope November brings a lot more like him.

No more or less so than any others positioning for a 2012 run at the presidency.

If Todd became President, he would have my permission to appear on TV whenever he wanted at any time.

He doesn’t even have to talk.

The only fantasy is your clinging to Precious.

“it’s a slow day in news”

It’s been that way for several days- this is the lull before the storm known as October Surprise.

BTW, they ain’t rivals- they are clearly on the same team, and if Sarah taps him to run as her VP he would, imho.

You're right, BigtigerMike.

DeMint and Palin are allies, not rivals.

DeMint is not running for the nomination in 2012 and Palin has not declared, but I will promise you one thing:

DeMint's credibility take a huge hit, if he backs Romney (again) in 2012, because nobody's trying to elect a conservative congress only to have a Romney president, and when Greta asked DeMint to name his choices for president DeMint answered in order:

Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin and Newt Ginghrich.

Jim DeMint is a great conservative and Sarah Palin is a great conservative and both are working to make November's election successful.

Piss is clinging to his little "Precious" again. You'd think he'd at least have the decency to logg off while he does that. He's a master baiter.

>>> Palin and Demint is no rivals, Sarah even said it on Foxnews that she admires and respects Demint and that “more Power to him”

Well that really doesn’t show anything. Politicians routinely compliment as “my esteemed colleague” and such like, even if they hate each others guts. A veneer of civility as they knife each other in the back.

If they are rivals, it’s on the mild side. I haven’t picked up any signs of bloodlust like with McCain and Hayworth.

Course that can change as the finish line gets closer. But for myself I’m skeptical either will seriously run. Demint is well positioned to become Majority Leader, and Palin a kingmaker.

She screwed the pooch with me by shilling for Juan McCain.

Do you know about DeMint and Mitt Romney, and Lindsey Graham?

There is one thing that is certain about the 2012 nominee - he or she has thrown their weight behind McCain. It’s something you will have to get over unless you plan on sitting out the general to can this commie.

I’ve been on DeMint’s mailing list for the past few months and have seen him working hard to get conservative wins in the primaries. This is the big wave and he did his best to maximize it.

He would be a fantastic candidate in 2012. It does bother me a bit that he picked Romney as his number-one choice. Why did he do that, after picking all those good conservatives?

I could go for that. Just standing there is enough.
