During the “Great Arab Revolt” of 1936-1939, the war aganst the Jews of Palestine and against the British enforcement of the Mandate, which Haj Amin helped organize and which Germany funded, the swastika was used as a mark of identity on Arabic leaflets and graffit. Arab children welcomed each othr with the Hitler salute, and a sea of German flags and pictures of Hitler were displayed at celebrations.... it was prident ti attach a swastika to their vehicle to gain immunity from Arab snipers. The Mufti declared certain zones in Palestine to be “liberated” from the Jews and the British, and to be under the authority of Shari’a, the Islamic religious law.
