A remarkable letter has been issued by over 70 Christian leaders, mostly from the Protestant Religious Left but including several Catholics, like Duquesnes Nicholas Cafardi and Georgetowns Thomas Reese. It states:
[W]e are deeply troubled by the recent questioning of President Obamas faith . [T]he personal faith of our leaders should not be up for public debate . Therefore, we urge public officials, faith leaders, and the media to offer no further support or airtime to those who misrepresent and call into question the presidents Christian faith.
No airtime? Not even to debate what is indeed arguably the most unconventional faith profile of any president in history, one understandably creating confusion among the public? Imagine that.
But why stop with President Obama? What about the questioning of other presidents?
Liberals constantly questioned Ronald Reagans faith, even as he repeatedly stated he was a Christian. He endured questions during two nationally televised presidential debates. It was embarrassing.
Reagan was far from alone. Some 200 years after his presidency, Thomas Jeffersons faith is ever-maligned. Even the beliefs of Lincoln and Washington are debated.
What about our most recent president? I cant tell you how many times I addressed serious inquiries about whether George W. Bush was seeking to impose a theocracy. It took every bit of charity to respond with patience. I never thought to sniff: That question should not be permitted airtime!
Dont these liberal Christians realize how bad this looks? Their position isnt exactly well, liberal. It certainly lacks diversity and tolerance.
If they dont like free discussion about the presidents faith, they should do what Americans have always done in their free society: Go to the public squarei.e., the mediahash it out, make your case, and persuade. Debate.
Wait a second
wouldnt that be banned?
And please..cut the PC term Progressive. I takes me want to puke. THEY ARE MARXIST, or neo-Marxist."
Agreed wholeheartedly, Alex!!
Reverend Leroy! Someone should sign the petition in his name. You know he would if he only knew about it. ;)
The term I used I find to be enough and I’m not posting for your particular pleasure or to your particular standards. There are Marxists and they are the most dangerous, but it is the Progressives, those who like just enough capitalism to make sure that they live incredibly secure and luxurious lives (who cares about anybody else), who are the ones needing to be removed from positions of authority. There really aren’t enough Marxists to do the job by themselves. It is the much larger number of Progressives who make progressive Marxism possible.
Thanks! I’m glad I’m not alone on that Memory!
Flip was one COOL DUDE.

Well, you are just parsing words... Try this.
Go to startpage (my search engine of choice)..
Type in Marxist/Progressives.
They are one in the same.
I do not expect anyone on here to “post for my pleasure”.
It was not my intention to insult you. It is just my, along with many others opinion.
Re post 10
That is the most scary list I think I have ever seen. Truly a list of Apostates.
It is going to be up to each individual to ascertain the position of the Church we belong to. Its time to disassociate ourselves from any Church who will not stand up for the true Gospel of Jesus.
The Bible tells us of the coming One World Religion and where that stands in the end times. Mark my words, the list of Church leaders in that list are going to be among the leaders who will blindly lead those who follow them into that One World Religion. Be warned and take action or be Condemned.
I heard on the radio this morning that a great deal was made about Obama’s going to church last weekend. What the MSM won’t tell you however, is that the guest speaker was a moslem!
Not new...but no, I don’t believe we’re simply “in a cycle.”
