Sarah Palin vs. Lisa Murkowski
Politico ^ | 18 Sept 2010 | SHIRA TOEPLITZ

Posted on 09/18/2010 9:11:29 AM PDT by Vigilanteman

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin didn’t wait long to admonish Sen. Lisa Murkowski’s write-in campaign as the senator tries to retain her seat.

Minutes before Murkowski took the podium at her planned announcement Friday evening in Anchorage, Palin tweeted that the primary voters had already made their choice for her backed candidate, attorney Joe Miller.

“Primary voters spoke. Listen to the people, respect their will; w/a 40-pt incumbent lead & $2.8 million war chest, voters chose Joe instead,” wrote Palin online.

"My advice for Lisa is the same for anyone who sees a grizzly in the woods. DON'T RUN,” wrote Palin again on Twitter later that evening.

Addressing Iowa Republicans, Palin called Murkowski’s write-in effort “futile” when questioned about it by reporters.

Miller defeated Murkowski in the primary last month, but she told supporters Friday that she will run as a write-in candidate against him and Democratic nominee Scott McAdams this November.

Meanwhile, Miller, himself, took aim at Murkowski, telling the conservative magazine National Review that her “lifeblood is power.”

“This is a write-in campaign for a person named Lisa Murkowski,” Miller said. “We are not terribly concerned about it. It doesn’t change our approach. Our calculus is that we win. It is now Joe Miller versus the liberals.”

Further down in the article Politico is trying to suggest that Palin's endorsement of Miller was motivated by Lisa's father passing over her for the senate appointment in favor of his daughter. Scumbags!

Murkowski, for her part, took a not-so-veiled shot at Palin, saying Alaskans should have "one Republican woman who won't quit on Alaska," referring to Palin's' short tenure as governor.

The big difference being, of course, that Alaska voters didn't ask Palin to 'go away'.

We sure got the dander up from Rove and Krauthammer when it was Christine, funny how there’s not a peep from either of them on this venomous, egocentrict woman Murkowskis?

The spelling doesn't have to be correct for a write-in vote to be counted, just that the intent of the voter is clear. That said, Lisa will now be a two-time loser.

Good point, Rove and Krauthammer. Nothing to say about this at all? Normally so VERBOSE, on this one you’re what, TONGUE-TIED?

Everyday I like her more, I think that Sarah and Sherriff Joe are a winning team in 2012.

Yep. If Politico would read her book, they’d discover that she was indifferent to being turned down.

That’s because they like her. She is a fellow RINO, not a nasty conservative.

Anyone listening to Joe Miller knows that he’s far more qualified to represent Alaska than the RINO whining cry baby who wants to feed her ego and feed her quest for power. For Murkowski, it’s Alaska be damned and the USA comes in last because it’s all about her, the Ruling Class Queen of Sore Losers.
