Just wanted to alert the community that there is a company opertaing as passport 2 fun and/or savings ace. I know they had a banner on travelocity, and its reported that they were on hotwire as well. IF you inadvertently clicked it you will get charged $19.95 per month until you raise holy hell.(we were being charger under both) You get no other communications from the company other then the banner, and it will take 1-2 hours on the phone demanding to speak with a supervisor and threats of small claims court before you will get anywhere. They finally promised to reverse the charges but we will see.
Charge you how? Clicking on their banner shouldn’t give them your credit card info...Is there more to this?
Now really, why did you sign up for this “passport 2 fun”?
in our case they took the info from travelocity. Travelocity knows about it and terminated the relationship.
Please explain to me how merely clicking on a banner on a web page can cause me to be charged money?
My experience has been that I must first identify myself & give a credit card number before someone can charge me.
I don’t understand what happened to you.
It was the GF making a late nite booking to go play nurse to a very injured friend. Just trying to make everyone aware of the problem.
They were taking the CC info from travelocity without any further action.
That sounds like a good reason to avoid Travelocity. I'm thinking that it almost has to be a violation of some provision in Travelocity's privacy policy.
I pulled the CC info off the site, but I must admit they were aware of the situation and had terminated the relationship. By the way it looks like Vistaprint had a relationship with them as well.

Charger = charged.
Then = than.
I notice more & more little check boxes, pre-checked, for options that are added to purchase screens. They always seem to be well hidden pages down in the screen. Sending you junk email is ALWAYS there. Perhaps this is how they "got" you. Sorry for your trouble.
I also notice that during a purchase you may select several options for the product, only to be informed on the purchase confirmation screen that options selected are not guaranteed & may be substituted. Outrageous!
It's getting to the point that we may need to change our email address & credit cards every 6-12 months to keep these crooks & nuisances at bay.
Yea, I’m thinking going foreward that all web purchases should be done with the CC that offer 1 time CC numbers, eliminating the possibility of this type of crap. I know ATT universal used to, may still but they are citi now.
Why can’t you just dispute the charge on your credit card. I had a company do something similar. Bought a 1.95 thing and they started charging me $60 a month. I just rejected the charges, changed my card and called them. They got a little upset when I called them thieves and scum but it ended well.
Have you had the same or similar experience with Vistaprint?
Does Vistaprint hook you into an auto debit type plan?
Are Vistaprint products worth the $?
Just askin’ ...
Vistaprint pops on a goole search, frankly We have had great experiences with them.
Yes definately dispute the charge, but you’ll get these are legit charges that you signed up for. Many CC can stop new charges but getting your $ back means going postal.
Thanks for your response.
I’ve not bought anything from VistaPrint, but I’ve seen their ads and have been thinking about trying them out.
In part of your response, you said: “Yes definately dispute the charge,...”
Does that mean that they require a monthly automatic purchase and auto-debit? If so, then I won’t bother to further investigate.
Thanks for the info.
:>)
Thanks for the tip on Vistaprint. I've dealt with them in the past. I checked and they only have an old, expired card of mine on record. I'll ask before I post a new one when I do business with them again.
Vistaprint is a legit company, the problem I discovered is an ad company that uses shady if be not fraudulant practices. Just be very careful and uncheck any offers you recieve when purchasing on the internet. The charges were not by the legit company, in my case travelocity, but by the scammer, passport 2 fun and savings ace.
