Meet your new GOP nominee for Governor, New York! Behold, Carl Paladino, who will presumably ensure that we no longer have to worry about being left behind when it comes to nutty politicians who will say anything. Paladinos day-after victory rounds made a stop by Rick Sanchezs show this afternoon and the results were eye-opening. Fireworks might be the best way to describe the interview.
The interview spanned two segments and certainly covered a lot of ground. Including Ground Zero. Which Paladino defined as the extended site over which the dust cloud containing human remains traveled.
Talking Points Memo zeroed in on this assertion:
After a commercial break, Sanchez asked him to specify just what he meant about the dust cloud.
That was a vast [dust cloud] if you recall it stretched all the way to Weehaken, to parts of Hoboken, miles from where this thing happened. Sanchez said.
Well I dont think it went out that far. It went out about a quarter of a mile, I think, Paladino said, before adding. Well, I dont know the exact distance, I dont mean to make out that I know the exact distance. But wherever it went, wherever that dust is caught in the crevices of buildings or in the crevices of sidewalks, thats human remains, and it should be treated that way.

I really like this guy. Perfect on his views. Kind of wish he could polish his justifications, but hey, he is right in the issues.
His views on ownership and private property rights are quite LIBERAL to say the least. He cannot do it himself, so what makes him believe the city would pass such an ordinance banning an “ideology” in their zoning laws?
Listening to him talk I kind of wonder if he is really prepared to follow thru on being governor.
I agree with you about the private property rights, BUT we live in a state that does this to anything it feels like with strip clubs, churches, etc.
Near where I live, there was a strip club a few years ago and they decided they didn’t like it, so they used eminent domain take the parking lot, so the property just sits there as an empty, useless eyesore. My feeling on it is that while I am against such things in principle, let’s at least use our fascism for some good for once and get the damn mosque stopped at all costs. Let Glenn Beck wring his hands over whether we’re living up to our ideals. Maybe we’ll join him after the mosque project is dead.
When he says he’ll do everything within his power to stop it, I believe him. If he can’t seize it outright, I’m sure there are a whole lot of problems he can cause them as governor.
The bottom line is that these are people who use our good will against us in an attempt to destroy us. As far as I’m concerned, any ‘rights’ that they have disappeared the moment they attempted to do that.
We already went down the slippery slope here a long time ago, so I say let’s push out the mosque.
I can’t say that I don’t wonder how he’s going to accomplish some of the things he wants to do without running the legislature, but if you heard him on Sean Hannity today, you’d probably be as impressed as I was with his command of the way the state works and his knowledge of the depth of corruption amongst both parties in the state. He may be quiet, but he doesn’t strike me as a guy who would bring up such a thing without a plan.
Plus, he’s a land developer and has been for years. He probably knows every trick in the book from the bastards doing it against him!
WOW...awesome thanks!
Don’t forget the S.O.B DEC!! They are ready to call a puddle a “protected wetland” then complain when there’s an explosion of Canada Geese. . .THAT THEY CAUSED BY DECLARING EVERY DROP OF RAIN AN UNFILLABLE AND PROTECTED “WETLAND” (politically correct for Mosquito Infested SWAMP)
Hello West Nile, Dengue, and Geese crapping all over your property. Oh and they ban open burning as well. Soon they will be outlawing my two wood stoves!!! I SO HATE NYS; that and the fact that child support goes to age 21 mandatory and father’s time sharing/parenting is NOT encouraged or enforced. It’s a lose/lose combination.
I hope Carl can lead the fight in abolishing the DEC (among other family interfering and useless gov’t organizations)
