Krauthammer: DeMint and Palin Need to Get O’Donnell Elected Since They Got Her Nominated – Video

Here is video of Charles Krauthammer on with Bill O’Reilly tonight, where he said he believes there is a “1 in 10″ chance Christine O’Donnell will win the November Election to the U.S. Senate in Delaware.

Krauthammer said it is “a huge mistake” to jeopardize the Delaware Senate seat by nominating Christine O’Donnell over Mike Castle. Krauthammer’s contention is that it’s all about control of the Senate – whether you would rather have the GOP setting the agenda, or Harry Reid / Chuck Schumer as Majority Leader.

Krauthammer challenged Jim DeMint and Sarah Palin – whom he said got her nominated – to go to Delaware and help her get elected in November.

“Now show me,” Krauthammer said, about DeMint and Palin. He also said he hopes he is wrong, because the GOP needs Delaware to take control.

The Castle rift if filtering all through FR. A 56 rating for Castle is no reason for any Conservative to go ape about his loss.

I have never liked Hammer. He does not like Christians and just as he said, We are not first class.
I don't like the round table on Fox.

The Kraut forgets that Castle so alienated Conservatives and Republicans in general, that he was not going to get enough votes to get elected this time.

The deal of running a Liberal Republican only works if the party base goes along with it ~ else, you get a Democrat.

Charles should get over his distaste for Catholic girls ~ you know, his mother must have been particularly brutal with him to turn him like this.

According to Charles "This is not an ordinary year."

I liked the part where he was saying that in some other year you could afford to go with a conservative candidate instead of a liberal but NOT THIS YEAR. This election this year is too important.

I've been voting quite a few years, and I don't remember a time yet where these people weren't telling me I had to eat a crap sandwich. Maybe some year I could have a hamburger instead of having to swallow crap again, but NOT THIS YEAR. This election is TOO IMPORTANT.

That a Republican House could block the worst stuff Obama could come up with isn't relevant. That 40 solid conservatives in the Senate could prevent cloture on the same stuff isn't relevant. No. What's important to Charles is 51 votes, even if a bunch of them will side with the Democrats on anything more critical than the naming of some highway or building.

In a race against Coons, in this environment, he would have been seen as the entrenched, career pol and would have lost.

That he was, and yes he would have.

Chucky would have been correct except that this is one of those times where the Conservative base was quite willing to NOT VOTE AT ALL if Castle, the anti-Conservative was the Republican candidate.

In that case the Democrat had an unearned advantage.

The solution now is to help O'Donnell win and forget about Castle ~ he was simply the wrong candidate at the wrong time. Could have happened to anybody, but it happened to him. Still, get over it!

Some day we'll talk about the values of RINOs, but in this case the designated hitter was not going to win anyway. These guys are useful ONLY if they really can win and are acceptable to the base. If they insult enough of the base you have no choice but to dump them.

Some people don’t know what RINO means so they substitute it for other, better words like Liberal ~ I wish they’d get their mits off RINO and leave it to the specialists in the finer nuances of maneuvering political parties to worry about.

My feelings exactly! What good is a majority if they are going to jump ship and vote with them dems when the going gets tough. Better to have your enemies before you then behind you I always say.

If Castle had won the primary, I would not have sent money as I did to both DeMint and O’Donnell. I would have supported him by not doing anything to jeopardize his chances. We have yet another example, Alaska and Fla being others, where the primary losers will not accept the winner and set out to destroy their chances of winning the seat in play. If this is now how the GOP game is to be played, then I opt out of the process and will simply vote for the candidate that I have reason to want in a particular office, regardless of party affiliation. This Delaware senate seat is the Republicans to lose. If the party really believes that this senate seat is so all important for us to win, then they will work with all they have to make the victory happen. Castle was another Specter or Jeffords just waiting to jump to the RATS. I am done with all that.

Well, there have been a number of schemes in the past and all this behavior is just strange. Why are Republicans trying to torpedo other Republicans?

Do you just agree with Krauthammer that Sarah and Demint should go down there? Or do you agree that it’s their fault she got the nomination, therefore, they should do the lifting to get her elected?

I know I pick on you for Romney stuff, but these days it’s really more in good fun than anything else. I’m just trying to get a handle on why the heck our guys are trying to eat their own here.

Past experience tells me that when there’s a scheme, somewhere behind it is a Romney or one of his supporters. Oh, how fondly I remember ‘Evangelicals for Mitt’ and all of the phony trolling and astroturfing that went on back in 07. If only I had been paid like his astroturfers were for all the time I spent posting his horrible record on thread after thread, I’d be surviving the Obama economy a whole lot better.

Charles is fraud and tired DC elite.

Castle ran a ugly very personal sexist smear campaign with the help of Rove and GOP elites like Charles and Kristol against an opponent who was the good enough to be the GOP senate candidate in 2008 but not good enough when the Castle elist demanded the seat ?

Castle is sorry LIB who would have jumped to the Dems like Jeffers and Specter for the right price. Castle who ran this very ugly smear attack has the nerve to cry and run away . Then the smear merchants like Rove and Charles and Kristol have the gall to declare the victim of their attacks is a damaged Goods AND problem now ?
A trashing they cooked up and implemented for weeks . You agree with this logic ?

Can you believe the nerve of the gall of the elites like Charles , Rove, Kristol and O’Reilly who have either cooked up and spread these ugly smears and trash talk about O’ Donnell and then have the nerve to say she is unelected thanks to the vile hate filled smears they created. These elites are sick twisted creatures.

They don’t care. They never have. It’s always been a one way road. You do it there way or they are outta there.

It’s never been you do this for us and we do this for you. No. It’s always been you do this for us or else you will lose.

We don’t need backstabbers, and we’d be better off without any of these folks.

Right, and believing that a honest, down to earth CONSERVATIVE candidate can win in DE, is delusional? Hogwash.

She represents the people who are angry, frustrated at being ignored, insulted at every turn.

But then you know this. You don’t give a damn about us, never did.

I think it’s telling that Krauthammer tells us to do the heavy lifting.

How many of you people, read, listen or support Krauthammer? Don’t we do the heavy lifting for him? If he wants to go play with the dims, good luck. Sayonara.

Krauthammer is way out of line. When Charles and his establishment buddies can get the RINOs that THEY get elected to consistently vote for conservative causes, THEN they can hold Palin and Demint responsible for getting O’Donnell elected.

Also, while control of the Senate would be great, it won’t mean that much as long as Hussein is POTUS.

The GOP is going to be playing defense for the next two years. They can do that nearly as effectively with 47 or 48 as they could with 51.

Hussein will veto any good legislation or repeal of bad legislation that the GOP passes.
