Rove and those of his ilk, rather than standing vindicated, will receive some of the blame for her loss.

I pray to God that she beats Coon like a rented mule, but let's say she doesnt. Let's say O'Donnell loses. Had Rove (and Castle, and the other naysayers) been gentlemen about this, they could have credibly said, following election day, "We were right, and we need to re-evaluate the kinds of candidates we pick for these northeastern seats and how they run their campaigns, etc."

Because of their tantrums and invective, if she now loses, anything they say about it will be met simply with replies of, "Maybe it would have been different if you and the rest of the party had backed her." Not only did Rove's candidate take a beating; so did his credibility.

Yes..but don’t you see that a man of such great achievement and power can lose perspective as well as anyone. I think, however, the Conservative firestorm over the O’Donnell remarks will humble him again. (sic transit gloria)
