“Instead, Rove goes on FNC and trashes O’Donnell - really stupid! And Castle, where’s he? Why, he’s having a teleconference with Obama and Biden when he should be conceding the primary race”

Oh no, another gay RINO considering an “Independent” run after losing their primary! Why else would he be on a conference call with the Manchurian President?

Do we have another term for gay RINO’s? I would think some creative freeper has coined one.

I like Rove. I understand what he is concerned about. I just think he went about it the wrong way.

O’Donnell can win this Senate seat and Rove must go home to Texas and get reacquainted with what it mean to be ‘Conservtive’.

We don't want him back. California is lovely this time of year. :-)

Rove’s sin was his timing as much as his tactic. He was recording a dem campaign commercial while she was being announced as the winner.

I really don’t give a damn if he likes Castle, or if he dislikes O’Donnell. If Rove wants to be a serious Republican go-to guy, he absolutely MUST control his mouth.

His help for Angle notwithstanding, he did himself a stupid disservice with his remarks about O’Donnell, and he needs to suffer the political consequences - whatever they turn out to be.

I think he helped O’Donnell albeit very unwittingly.

I pray to God that she beats Coon like a rented mule, but let's say she doesnt. Let's say O'Donnell loses. Had Rove (and Castle, and the other naysayers) been gentlemen about this, they could have credibly said, following election day, "We were right, and we need to re-evaluate the kinds of candidates we pick for these northeastern seats and how they run their campaigns, etc."

Because of their tantrums and invective, if she now loses, anything they say about it will be met simply with replies of, "Maybe it would have been different if you and the rest of the party had backed her." Not only did Rove's candidate take a beating; so did his credibility.

Christine’s a tax cheat; I wonder if - after she is elected - conservatives will call for her ouster over her tax cheating status, just like Charlie Rangel?

When you expose the enemy you dont reach out with an olive branch
“If Rove want to be a serious Repblican” you defeat him.

I don't care what Carl Rove Said, “ The Past is Prologue”, what I do care about is what he does to get rid of Harry Reid, I live in Las Vegas, and Harry has forgotten how he got where is is, or who put him there, and it is time to clean house starting with the biggest and dirtiest fuzz ball.

Then you must believe Rove simply can’t help himself when he trashes O’Donnell on tv.

Instead, I suspect he’s belligerent because his own analysis of the situation is that she can’t win in Delaware.
____________________________________________________________

If that was his analysis he could still be gracious AFTER the primary. The shooting was done. He only helped the Democrats with his attacks on O’Donnell. He sounded like a Democrat. It could have been Carville or Begala or Rahm speaking. Even if he’s right and she can’t win, if he doesn’t take her down with his attacks, she may cause the Dems to have to pump money into the state in order to win . . . draining cash from other races. You don’t attack your parties nominee for Senate as a Republican campaign person. Worst case, you damn with faint praise. “O’Donnell and her supporters have pulled off a major upset of Mike Castle who I believe was a strong candidate who could have won Delaware easily. I congratulate Christine O’Donnell and her team on their victory.” That sort of thing. Then the question: “Do you believe that O’Donnell can win?” “I believe she can win yes, but Castle in the general election was a stronger candidate and had my support. Anything can happen between now and election day . . . “

It’s boilerplate. Second nature to a guy like Rove or should be.

“That is a point he refuses to get. Odd for such a supposedly bright guy.”

Yes..but don’t you see that a man of such great achievement and power can lose perspective as well as anyone. I think, however, the Conservative firestorm over the O’Donnell remarks will humble him again. (sic transit gloria)

She isn’t anything like Rangle...who was a member of Congress, writing the tax laws when he was cheating.
