Unbelievably, I'm going to tip the hat to Andrew Sullivan today for an excellent video (though, I suppose I'm tipping the middle-man since he got it from Reihan Salam) by Jonathan Rauch describing the organizational structure of the Tea Party. The video discusses quite succinctly just why the Tea Party is such a confounding influence to establishment politics on both sides of the aisle.

(Original content discussion of the video follows the video for those of you who'd otherwise ignore this.)

Very similar to what I present in this article called CIC and Complexity: The Tea Party as a Complex System. Also, Matt Kibbe and Dick Armey's new book discuss such a structure.

Many, especially in the elite media and political circles, do not see this and, therefore, can make neither heads nor tails of what is happening.

After many years of fragmenting us into groups such as race, gender, income, religion, sexuality, etc., the Left is dismayed to see the disorganization spontaneously coming back together and coalescing around the Constitution and the founding principles. They thought they had destroyed all that.
