I have to say that the IQ on the forum dropped due to the large number of idiots who joined in 2008, 2009, and 2010. Look at any stupid post and there is over 70% probability that it coming from members who joined in the last three years.

Come to think of it -- he may not be correct on this one as far as I can tell. I had some of the most idiotic comments made to me on threads 5-6 years ago, and I think things have kind of quieted down since then. Maybe I'm just on the wrong threads. LOL.
PFFFFTTTTTTT..... I say the same thing about anyone who joined after 1999........
RE: I support this view.
As do I.
Whew! I made the cut! lol I signed up in 07.
So do I. Most notably those Sept 09 sign ups. I'm thinking that's when they got their DNC marching orders.

When I joined FR over a decade ago, I had a LOT to learn. I *thought* I knew something, but I quickly learned to shut up, read and gather myself an education.
Yes, many new people signed on on 2008 and later, but that's a good thing. It means that our nation is starting to wake up. People are beginning to figure it out. They want to learn and to join the good fight.
That's why I'm always so gentle with the newbies. I remember the outrage I felt when it finally dawned on me that I'd been lied to for almost 30 years. By my teachers by the media... I remember how badly I wanted to understand the big picture. And I remember having my ass handed to me over and over again when I'd spout some "truth" that I'd been taught and that I sincerely thought was right.
Fortunately for me, a few stepped forward and took me under their wings. I got a lot more from gentle correction than I did by being accused of being a troll or attacked.
I do wish that the experienced, educated FReepers would have more patience and go into "teacher mode" more often. That's what the newbs really need.
Most of them are here for the right reason - they're hungry for the truth. We should go ahead and feed them.
