I asked Jim Robinson today to delete my account on Free Republic. He asked me to post an opus so some folks would not think that I was banned for no reason. Here is my brief opus:
Thank you Free Republic and Good Bye. This was an excellent forum for many years but now I do not think it is so in my humble opinion. The trend where the forum is going is very clear to me and I do not want to be part of it.
For all the Freepers with whom I have had good relationship and great discussions I want to thank you for all the good time we had together on this forum.
God Bless America and Our Brave Troops.
PS: Now Jim Robinson can ban my account.

That’s hilarious! How did you do that?
(Yes, I know the original sign-up day for the present-day FR was November 28, 2007.)

"Hell is other people" (look up the author if you don't know.) You should of quit right then, in 2000 AD. We're stupid, and will remain so.

I hope you will reconsider your decision to leave Free Republic.

Hey. I won’t dog on ya. If you feel we are drifting too close to the Founding Father’s principles for your comfort, I’ll understand.

I’ve been feeling that way recently because of one of the mods. Give it some time. Take a rest from it. Come back later. Would be sad to see you leave.

Welcome back! Please reconsider. We’ve all had tense times lately with the whole paradigm of our country shifting. We need every patriot.

Glad for it, too, since third parties are for mouth-breathing retards.
I have yet to hear an adequate explanation from anyone as to why breathing through your mouth is bad. The nose is so small and full of mucus, generally, wholly inadequate for the kind of breathing one finds comfortable during strenuous activity. The mouth, on the other hand, allows so much air to flow through. It really is nice to breathe that way. Now I find that some people view this simple activity as equivalent to bestiality or smoking crack, and I am perplexed.

Putting John on the couch, he comes from a culture where there are no fake warriors, or so he thinks.
Why he can’t grasp that constitutionalists taking power from
con-men is pro-military.
He feels that if we ditch the men that ‘started’ the war against Islam, then we’re ditching the war against Islam.
For him to see Bush, McCain and Rove attacked in his eyes means we’ve abandoned the WOT.
He can’t possibly grasp that our support actually furthers the effort, because of his ‘strong horse’ Arabic upbringing,
which probably blinds him to conservative mutiny over RINO politics wrought by a .... woman.
Just a case of crossed wires here, he’ll be back when the cause and effect syncs up in his mind.
