If you Tweet it, they will succumb.
That might be the lesson today as the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) has just announced that it will support Republican tea party candidate Christine ODonnell in Delaware.
NRSC Chairman John Cornyn, Republican Senator from Texas, just released a statement announcing the committees support:
Let there be no mistake: The National Republican Senatorial Committee and I personally as the committees chairman strongly stand by all of our Republican nominees, including Christine ODonnell in Delaware.
I reached out to Christine this morning, and as I have conveyed to all of our nominees, I offered her my personal congratulations and let her know that she has our support. This support includes a check for $42,000 the maximum allowable donation that we have provided to all of our nominees which the NRSC will send to her campaign today. Rush is talking about this today, I'm still ticked off at Steel, Cornyn, et al and will be withholding ANY $$$$ for the GOP! >:-(
If you can call $42,000 “support”.
What will that pay for, her legal bills after the RNC is through vetting her? B@stards!
NRSC Raised Money Using Christine O'Donnell's Name the Day Before Delaware Primary
Using O'Donnell's name and refusing to give her $$$$ is CRIMINAL.
CORNYN is a CRIMINAL. Resign NOW, you SOB.
CORNYN MUST RESIGN

Cornhole is now scared for his job, following the open revolt against him.
The NRSC slight of ODonnell after she clinched the GOP nomination was the straw that broke the camels back.
Its too late, Cornhole.
The entire GOP power structure is now in the crosshairs, thanks to the anti-Republican behavior of Michael Steal, John Cornhole, and Karl Rove.
The Tea Party candidates are now the Republican candidates.
We will not tolerate insurrection against the Partys standard bearers from the endangered RINOs on their way out the door.
How many donors said, “fine, I’ll send my money to individual candidates instead of the party!” ?
They better. We held our nose and voted for your candidates, so now it’s time for YOU to get in line Mr. Cornyn.
$42K is, IIRC,, the max they can give.
Fire Cornyn!
Probably a lot.
I have no idea what the “standard support” from the NRSC looks like,
but $42,000 seems a bit niggardly.
Then I would say the NRSC is pretty much a NON-FACTOR.
It’s all the cash they can send to the candidate directly.
They could also run advertising if they wanted, so there certainly are ways they could give more, but this is at least a way to stop the stories about the Republicans “abandoning” their candidate.
While I know a lot of freepers here want to castigate the NRSC and the RNC and lots of other establishment groups, in my opinion the best thing we can do for O’Donnell is to accept the NRSC about-face at face value, and sell it to the world as an indication that we are all united in defeating the democrats in November.
It does our candidate little good to sell this as a cynical ploy — I presume O’Donnell told the NRSC she wanted the money, so her campaign believes that looking like they have the backing of the establishment is helpful to her.
We shouldn’t second-guess the campaign when it’s just starting the general election campaign.
She should take that $42,000 check, and return it with explicit instructions for Cronyn to shove it up his sniveling wazoo aperture.
Many on here, me included.
$42K is the max that they can give.
Be Ever Vigilant!!
The max they can give, sure, but they can spend an unlimited amount in support of her. They would have spent millions for Castle. $42k is peanuts.
It’s as if they are trying to teach the wayward voter a lesson. I think THEY need to learn a lesson. It’s not about them having a job, it’s about representing the voters and if they aren’t doing that then they can all go work at Walmart.
Ill send my money to individual candidates instead of the party!
How many??? I for one did early this morning before the NRSC announced they were backing her. A friend just emailed me, said he donated $25.00 ea. to three of the candidates.
