In case no one told you this Charles, the age of Bill Buckley is over. We're dealing with people who make clear with their every act that they intend to destroy America. Presumably the British should also have voted for Chamberlain over Churchill. I mean they were both from the same party and Chamberlain having been elected as Prime Minister was clearly electable while Churchill had been in a political exile. Oh, and clearly Buckley's "wisdom" must have rubbed off on his son Christopher who endorsed Obama in the last Presidential election.

Pray tell, what is your stance on the self-indulgence of people like Charlie Crist who-beaten in a primary race then reneges on his pledge to remain in the GOP and instead run for US Senate as an independent-thus splitting the vote? What about Lisa Murkowski who flirted with doing likewise to retain her birthright to the US Senate seat in Alaska? Or how about the self-indulgence of the aforementioned Benedict Arlen? (I'm still laughing about that one.)

We do not have the strength to defeat the armies of Mordor." "No", he agrees. Then he utters perhaps my favorite line in the entire 4,508,151,225 pages of The Lord Of The Rings. "But we shall meet them in battle nonetheless."
Denethors like Krauthammer are overcome with a defeatist attitude that victory isn't possible so we'd better settle for tactical retreats and peace in our time. It is people like this that sacrifice great for the sake of good. Oh, and just for disclosure Charles, exactly what did you see when you looked into the palantir? Seriously, what did you and HusseinO talk about in your January 2009 dinner with him and other like-minded, empty holstered, Viagra conservative pundits? Or did you think we'd forgive and forget that?
Theodens like Christie O'Donnell are willing to risk defeat, I believe that the surge of the Tea Parties in our day is similar to the last charge of the Rohirrim at the armies of Mordor assailing Minas Tirith. If the charge fails, then we're all doomed.
Deneth-sorry, Charles, what you are saying is that while you blue-blooded RINOS expect people to swallow their principles (again) to vote for your pragmatism in September, you will take your pragmatism and go home before you'll vote for their principles in November (or any other time for that matter). Well here's what I say to that:
Charles the same guy who was so enthralled with Obamaâs aura during the election and so repulsed by the average stature of Palin now is repulsed with the fact that the American tax payer doesnt want another leftist in the senate. Rush wake up Charles is a Washington elitists snob.
Got to love the lotr references. When my kids wanted to understand the anti-war protesters, I simply mentioned wormtongue and they understood.
LOL. I trust that it’s been sent to Charles.
Krauthammer has very disappointing lately, but so has Karl Rove, and many others. Seems like we are entering an era of anti-GOP elitists - and that is a good thing.
All of these GOP Beltway folks are starting to sound like Democrats - at least anti Tea-Party GOP folks. That is too bad for them...
It’s time for all of the to go away! If they don’t, then we must either vote them out or shame them until they leave. They no longer represent Republicans or the Country.
Kraut probably just isn’t real comfortable with flyover country folks.
I used to switch between Hewitt and Levin during drive time, but Hewitt’s fawining over Castle and defeatism re: O’Donnell had me spending much time with Levin, who in truth I viscerally am more in touch with than Hewitt.
Krauthammer’s batting avg going up against Sarah Palin is pretty crappy right now (I think he’s batting a fat .000!!!). Think he’s learned his lesson by now? He had to eat crow after AK primary. Should be a fine meal on Special Report later tonight!
give me a Joe the Plumber anyday of the week.....
Kraut probably just isnt real comfortable with flyover country folks.
Probably not... I have begun to think that he is one of those GOP elitists that has not been out of DC in a long time. He does not have any idea what is going on - reality.
He does make great arguments against most liberal ideas, but he has been embedded too long...
Yes, I’m afraid that Hewitt fits the elitist GOP mold - too bad but he has not welcomed the change that is happening...
What is wrong with you people? Krauthammer is a gem and one of the finest articulators of our message. Look, there’s a big faction of people who believe having the power is important. If we lose these seats because of the people we have nominated, then what’s it all for? ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES.
That being said, I’m all for these conservative candidates, I just don’t think we should throw everyone overboard who takes a more pragamatic approach to winning elections.
Good Grief! Krauthammer has very disappointing lately? Rove is saying something NEW? They haven’t changed their tunes at all, it’s just that people are finally listening.
I keep hearing that we need to take back the GOP. We’ve never had it. There was w a short breath of fresh air during Reagan that gave folks hope but that’s it. These crusty bastards are going to fight with their last breaths because it’s the only life they know.
Deagle, I’m not trying to single you out. Just feel the beed to vent a bit.
Where do you draw the line then? This is the year to nominate conservatives in every state. Not all will win but none will if they are not nominated first.
Not throwing him overboard, but you must admit that he was wrong about Delaware. If you think he was right, then that is okay, but you are taking the anti-Tea Party side - which is again alright, but not exactly popular with this revolution.
I think that Krauthammer is right almost 90% of the time, but when it comes to the later Tea Party involvement and the direction of the current elections, he has struck out.
He does have the correct opinions though that 99% of the other GOP elitists have so maybe that makes him right in your eyes... not to me.
The establishment hated the Reagan revolutionists, too, so conservatives are used to be treated like the black sheep in the GOP family. Most of us are not going to wilt from their lack of acceptance.
Fight on!!
After Krauthammer’s fawning over Obama - which apparently is over, thankfully - I’m real careful about his opinions.
Problem with these people is if you someone doesn’t share their mannerisms, their education, etc. then they have a nasty habit of never accepting “outsiders” no matter what.
That being said - sounds like O’Donnell has some bad problems to overcome.
At the sacrifice of values??
To thine own self be true!
I’m with you. I love his dry wit, and he’s usually spot on with most topics. I notice when he talks nobody interrupts him, not even O’Reilly. Due to his paralysis, he gets winded easily, so he’s not a debater. His observations and the way he delivers them are priceless.
