The Vote in November

Rant against the leftist liars...

TOPICS: Business/Economy; Government; Health/Medicine; Politics
KEYWORDS:
I am going to try to present a big idea/explanation in as coherent fashion as I—a lowly commoner—can—why our vote is critical come November and beyond if we are to restore hope in America.

The left are collectivists who see government as the solution to any problem. That simple statement is a given as they do not hide the fact in any way—whether on television, in newspapers or on blogs. Most of the left believe that capitalism left unchecked, unregulated, is the source of evil. Some believe it is the source of all evil in American economics and society.

The left respects and joins with true socialists as they decry the economics of private enterprise and the “awful” profits inherent in a system where market driven successes produces wealth. Most view people who are wealthier than they are as people who have had “unfair” advantages, were part of a network of old boys, or who got lucky and so they do not deserve to keep much of the wealth they—somehow or another—accumulate. They believe it is right to spread the wealth around in order for society to better itself, for people to have “free” things—from healthcare to housing to food to transportation—child care, education, and a host of services to protect all the little leftist darlings from a cruel world of indifference. What is cruel and indifferent is not educating people that nothing is free. It is supposed to come from?—where exactly?—from whom?—how?

That is interesting to me because I personally have found leftists to among the most indifferent people around, especially when it comes to abortion, Christianity, Judaism, work, competition—and actual learning—as opposed to learning self-esteem and diversity. I have mischaracterized the left’s indifference. It is not enough that they are indifferent to death (abortion) for example, they actively seek to keep imposed it on every state through legislation and by using the courts—where leftist heroes like Pat Leahy has done everything he can to assure there are plenty of sympathetic judges who will rule the way the left wants. And the left is as active across a broad front of issues created for the purpose of changing American society into a nation where their vision becomes stronger and the vision of faithful, honest, hard-working, decent people is pushed down into a media hyped category of “wackos.” Thank you, Howard Dean, Chris Matthews, and others for bringing what we are to light because we didn’t know that about ourselves.

No, we think it is right to pray, to avoid doing anything against our fellow man, and to work hard, expecting to keep a goodly portion of what we earn. We think it is right to control our impulses outside of marriage, to protect the life we make, to defend our nation against the forces of oppression, murder, and to live as good people—as best we can. But such behavior is put down on a regular basis and we are expected to appreciate—to respect—even to revere—base human actions that cause crime, unwanted pregnancies, unemployment, and on and on. Uh, no more shall we accept the narrative you fashion, leftist.

I am tired of it. Often we see it as political correctness expressed on campus, in journalism and other venues of media newspeak. We have been lectured by Obama to be tolerant. We are chastised for even speaking up about a Muslim mosque near ground zero—where Muslims attacked our nation and murdered three-thousand Americans. We are being called racists because we do not agree with a runaway spending and gargantuan control by the federal government. Why do I suspect the NAACP will invent evidence against the Tea Party if they have to? That is just one of the lies.

* Why should we accept the narrative? We don’t have to and shouldn’t. We are not racists and do not have to accept what others call us—we are simply honest about issues such as spending, crime, drugs, abortion, and education.

* Why does the left push for more control? Because their theories and ideas cannot survive on their own merit—their ideas are not voluntary and are unworkable.

* Why must they advertise continuously? Because people would not buy what they are selling, given true and accurate information.

* Does the left stand and work for more or less freedom? Clearly, the left works for less freedom in so many ways and through so many vehicles that many books have been and are being written that only begin to answer this question. The minions of the left however rarely read much more than the latest blog on Kos—if that. Instead they hear Sharpton and others and remember a few catch phrases—bumper sticker slogans.

The secret being held back is that without a healthy dose of capitalism as it existed in the past and to a lesser extent as it exists today despite regulations and taxes, the leftists would not have what they have now. The goods and services designed and produced over the years by private industry have caused a high standard of living for everyone. What capitalism was and could be again, is in danger—it is running out of gas—we have spent our reserves and now there are thousands of government employees elected and not, who apparently believe most profits should belong to the government. If there were not enterprise based on competition and free market dynamics, there would not have been the tax base—and certainly not the jobs—that we once had. We are seeing this play out before our very eyes, in our time. It is ironic that leftists who probably enjoy a computer or two, a television or two, a vehicle or two, are attacking the very system that delivered those niceties to them at a price they could afford in the first place.

Leftists are wrong in the purist sense of the word. Wrong. They are dangerous to freedom as we let them have reign and fail to stop their insult, their own selfish greed to take what we have and redistribute to others—mainly to themselves.

You collectivists can’t have anymore of it. Get off our backs. Never, ever expect us to willingly accept your vision of a socialist state—as you know—that isn’t going to happen voluntarily. Don’t lie to us by suggesting that Social Security and Medicare are socialist programs we want to keep—we paid into those systems for years and you probably didn’t. It was and is supposed to be our money, liars.

I am weary of that lie too among the many thrown at us from every leftist corner. The left will say anything and expect us to listen to all their claptrap. The vote in November is only a start for we have allowed the politicians to bring our nation to the brink of ruin. It is our first chance to turn the leftists back and put them away where they belong—not in our service.

My view is that if Dems retain control of Congress, it’s an indicator that they’ve gamed the electoral system beyond redemption and patriots will have to turn to other corrective action.

I don’t care much for Romney either. So, what to do... what to do... vote for the nominee of the GOP.

You’re right and that would make me want to do other things.

I’ll have to do what I do in baseball ... root for the team playing the Yankees ... and the Dems are the Yankees.

Patriots will never take up arms again. We’re all too affluent to risk our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor once again.
