Should Tiger be included on the Ryder Cup Team?
Is he a former PGA phenom? Without question. Did he have an exceptional 2010 season? No, he had a decidedly lackluster 2010 season. Was he the first African-American golfer to achieve superstar status and retain it over several seasons? Aha! I think that could be the key!
When we put together an Olympic hockey or soccer team, we dont select a player who is the first Croatian-American who plays a mediocre hockey or soccer game, and who happens to be grappling with some emotional problems. No, we go for the guys who will best represent the USA and bring back the gold!
Everybody knows why Tiger may have had a bad season. Blonde bimbos, divorce, huge settlement yada, yada, yada.
Hey, guys screw up! Especially, young guys who are sports superstars or Hollywood matinee idols with a seemingly endless supply of money. The groupies come out of the woodwork when they catch the scent of the large green. This is nothing new.
Should sports fans forgive him? Weve forgiven worse.
Should he be given an honorary spot on the Ryder Cup Team because hes a former phenom, or because theres a good reason why he had a dismal season? Probably not.
Hell, Arnold Palmer is a former phenom; lets get him!
But then, theres that African-American thing
” Oooooh!! Im really scared!
Hey, jerk! Why dont you let me know when youre going to say something worthy of a response, and Ill be sure to shoot one out there to you. OK?
Hows that for a response? “
Uh, not very good noob.
Take the last train to ZOTville.
I do believe the Mods are letting us toy with this newbie. And, as Darksheare points out, his only reply to a post, other than #53 above, was his very first post on FR. All others have been hit-and-run threads, beginning (almost exactly to the day) 17 months after his start date. This would have been another except I got under his skin. IE, he’s been a sleeper who finally got into his role.
I suspect he posts, then runs back to the DUmp, or wherever, to brag about his activity. That’s doin’ the DUmpster Dive...
Methinks THIS is what you're alluding to...
It seems fitting for our DUnewbie...
“I can’t give you anything but loe, baby!”
“Excuse me, but who are you singing to?”
“The leopard!”
Yeah. I knew the implication to “Bringing Up Baby”. I just wanted to find something more in tune with our not-so-illustrious poster.
Refering to that clip you linked, he should be getting the boot himself...
"A bigger leopard".
“It says he loves dogs. I don’t know whether that means he eats them or plays with them.”

Charlie Ruggles: “ Or...uh...do you,.... Mr. Bones? “
“He was horribly clawed by a tiger in Malaysia.”
“Never been there.”
OOOOPS....
"I can't, David, I've got a lease".
Ruggles: “ Ah well......no matter....”
LMAO!!
I think I have the bulk of that movie committed to memory ;-)
“David! David! The Leopard! the leopard!”
“I’ll be right there Susan! Hold on! Hold on!”
Cary in Jurgensen’s Market Beverly Hills (still in operation)
” Give me 40 pounds of sirloin, and don’t bother to cut it....it will be eaten raw “
"Eh, isn't it Mr. eh, Bones?"
No!...
"It was probably an echo".
"Yes, well, it was a long time coming back, wasn't it".
Grant: “ I wasn’t going to hit GEORGE! “
I don’t know if he’s PC or not, but I’m wondering if he isn’t somewhat of a jinx. The last two times Tiger was on the team (2004 and 2006) the Euros beat the snot out of us. Last time out (2008) Tiger wasn’t on the team because of surgery, and the team won the Cup going away. So is it a case lately of Tiger being The Cooler?
So much material, so little time...
” “It was probably an echo”.
“Yes, well, it was a long time coming back, wasn’t it”.
ROTFLOL!!
Charlie Ruggles was one of my favorite comedians of the 30’s and 40’s.
