Should Tiger be included on the Ryder Cup Team?
Is he a former PGA phenom? Without question. Did he have an exceptional 2010 season? No, he had a decidedly lackluster 2010 season. Was he the first African-American golfer to achieve superstar status and retain it over several seasons? Aha! I think that could be the key!
When we put together an Olympic hockey or soccer team, we dont select a player who is the first Croatian-American who plays a mediocre hockey or soccer game, and who happens to be grappling with some emotional problems. No, we go for the guys who will best represent the USA and bring back the gold!
Everybody knows why Tiger may have had a bad season. Blonde bimbos, divorce, huge settlement yada, yada, yada.
Hey, guys screw up! Especially, young guys who are sports superstars or Hollywood matinee idols with a seemingly endless supply of money. The groupies come out of the woodwork when they catch the scent of the large green. This is nothing new.
Should sports fans forgive him? Weve forgiven worse.
Should he be given an honorary spot on the Ryder Cup Team because hes a former phenom, or because theres a good reason why he had a dismal season? Probably not.
Hell, Arnold Palmer is a former phenom; lets get him!
But then, theres that African-American thing
That's kind of disrespectful towards his mother...
What say the Kitties
Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my Viking Kitty/ZOT ping list!. . . don't be shy.
>>Was he the first African-American golfer<<
Tiger Wood’s Ethnicity One-quarter Chinese, one-quarter Thai, one-quarter African American, one-eighth Native American, and one-eighth Dutch.
Now, why would they choose to call him Africa-American?
TV ratings.
Next.
I have family in Sicily (grandparents, aunts) and aunts & uncles in Liguria. But, I think Piemonte is the most beautiful part of Italia. It's gorgeous. Unbelievable food, too. Great seafood and unbelievable beef and pork.
Plus, if you still want access to the water, you're only about 80 miles from the sea when in Torino. And, Autostrada dei Fiori (the coastal highway in that part of Italy), is one of the most scenic highways in the world. It's really a great place to do a little driving.
It’s hard to think of a guy who bangs more women than John Daly does shot glasses as politically correct.
Too good I will look up this Autostrada de Ciori and I hope to ship my Harley over to ride while there.
So just cruising this road will be a must,
Thanks
Are you Senator Bird addressing us from the grave? Mostly anti-lib except for the pork, bigotry and socialism.
Tiger has not had a good year. Since he cheated on his wife and on his many, many mistresses, might he also cheat in golf? His doctor is in big trouble re illegal drugs.
Oooooh!! Im really scared!
Hey, jerk! Why dont you let me know when youre going to say something worthy of a response, and Ill be sure to shoot one out there to you. OK?
Hows that for a response?
HMMM? The mods haven’t zotted him yet?
In case you haven't noticed, and its apparent you haven't, as soon as Tiger's divorce was finalized he shot some of the best golf in his life.
Typical lefty knee jerk reaction. Your handle, MOSTLYAnti-Lib tells it all.
Apparently, no one has ever said something "worthy" of a response because this thread has your first reply to anyone. And it's only because I pulled your chain. That makes you the jerk.
Using your same logic then you have to say the same thing about Mickelson. Why was he chosen?
Mickelson bombed out of the Crowne Plaza Invitational in May, missed the cut and dissed the media (media was pretty hush hush on that little incident weren't they?) at the Barclays Championship in August and finished dismally tied for 25th at the Deutsche Bank championship. That's hardly a record I would want representing my team. Maybe Mickelson was given a Politically Correct spot since he's the only representative of left handers on the team.........
Mickelson and Woods both belong on the team because they are two of the best golfers in the world.
True, they're two of the best golfers in the World. But that standing is based on stroke play. What's most important, is that they're both good at match play as well.
You know, this is your first response since your first post.
After your first post, you’ver merely done “post and run” of threads.
Ask the newbie if he has an inter-costal clavicle....
