Rick Lazio for New York
Political Blog ^ | September 12, 2010 | Raquel Okyay

New York State is in financial shambles; we know it and the politicians know it too, yet tax payer funds are squandered budget after New York State budget. Due to a bad economy and bad management, our deficit amounts to $40 billion over the next several years.

The result is New York families are hurting; they have lost their jobs, depleted their savings, and at this point –fuming with out of control spending in Albany. New Yorkers are searching for a leader who has a record of saying NO to a bulging government and will provide solutions to difficult problems.

In a 22-page policy agenda, Rick Lazio, Republican and Conservative Party endorsed candidate for Governor outlines solutions for New York. He sees high spending and high taxes as a prerequisite for an unemployment situation that is getting even worse. Rick Lazio’s 5-point plan is to Attack spending, Bring down taxes, Create jobs, Defend New York and Educate the next generation. (Sounds like a plan to me!)

I thought you claimed you weren't pushing Lazio?

Well actually I am not a supporter of Lazio. I saw an individual pulling one over on a Republican statewide candidate, I called her on it.

Sorry. You can have him. We don't want him.

As I recall, he’s a baby-killer. That means he is unfit for public office. He is wicked.

If the only opponent is a socialist baby-killer, one can vote for him, but he does not belong in public office.

Luckily for New York, Lazio’s opponent is very pro-life.

Carl on Abortion
I was born and raised a Catholic and have always believed in the inherent dignity and sanctity of all human life. I believe the unborn child has a fundamental individual right to life which cannot be infringed.

At its core, abortion is a fundamental assault on the sanctity of innocent human life - especially the abhorrent practice of partial birth abortion. I oppose using public revenues to promote or perform abortion and, as Governor, I will not fund organizations which advocate the procedure.

I also support the appointment of judges who respect traditional family values and the sanctity and dignity of innocent human life.

Do you make a habit of using materials from liberal sites that hate the Tea Party movement to bash a Tea Party-endorsed candidate? I think that says more about YOU than it says about Paladino.

Carl on the Right to Keep and Bear Arms
I support an individual’s right to bear arms as recognized by the Second Amendment and I believe it is now time to enshrine this vision of our Founding Fathers in the New York State Constitution. It is disgraceful that New York is one of the few states that leaves state gun owners’ rights up to the whim of state legislators.

And not only will I defend against further assaults by Sheldon Silver and the gang against existing gun owner rights, but I will look for opportunities to roll back any existing state law that infringes upon the right to bear arms.

Ai yi yi people, Rick Lazio is not a baby killer! Ha! I have yet to read one publication that shows that Rick PROMOTES abortion. In fact, Rick supports pro-life legislation such as parental consent. He also voted for the partial birth abortion ban while in Congress and he does not support federal funding. It really is not fair to call Rick a baby killer, but hey it’s a free country!
