After researching the illegal immigration issue, it has become apparent that our American way of life will be over in our children's lifetime (about 30 years).
The Feds are never going to enforce the law (deport illegals) no matter who is elected and the border will remain open. Eventually even the violent criminals will be allowed to stay. The Judiciary will continue to strike down any local or State law that inhibits the rights of the illegal immigrants. We, as taxpayers do not have standing to sue. The media will continue to make a conserted effort to conceal the staus of illegal immigrants committing crime. And the US will continue to see a rapid rise in several diseases that were once eradicated in the US.
Our country will be taken over by mostly Latin Americans who have no loyalty to the US and they will eminate the corrupt countries they are from.
There are literally hundreds of groups against illegal immigration but we still have had no progress because congressmen know that illegal immigrants have more rights than taxpayers. (illegals know it too) And congressmen can boost their chances of being re-elected by just mentioning the issue knowing full well nothing will ever come of it and at the same time avoid the disenfranchisment of the Hispanic vote.
This leaves us in a situation where we are being forced to absorb all the expenses of illegal immigration whether we like it or not until we don't have enough money to pay property, state and federal taxes anymore and the country collapses financially and socially. Our government knows that they can continue this course with impunity indefinitely because taxpayers don't take to the streets and burn garbage cans. We just have to accept it.
Like the entitlements, we will never have enough money to fund all the expenses from uncontrolled illegal immigration. Regardless, our country is already essentially bankrupt by any definition.
The stats and cost of illegal immigration on us is mind boggling. We can remain helpless and victims of our own government as we send each new set of closet amnesty congressmen to office, or we can do something about it ourselves.
I think it is now up to the States to build the fence and deport. We can impose a 10% fee on all remittances outside the country which can easily pay for the fence. And the states can repatriate illegals without effecting the feds authority over the legal incoming.
Of course this discussion will be moot if congress passes amnesty.
Do you think this idea will work? If not, do you have any ideas how we can save America from our government?
The collapse of the USA is coming but to think it will be caused by illegal immigration is laughable. What’s killing us are the inhabitants of DC, both parties.
The government itself is destroying this country.
Illegal immigration is only about 5 maybe 10 percent of the problem. The rest is an out of control government spending us into oblivion.
The best of what Political Corruption has to offer…by destroying America in the name of foreign entanglements.

It isn’t Latin Americans who have taken over this country, it is (mostly) white leftists. The Latin Americans are just pawns in their plan. We need to throw out the Left in November and enforce the law.

America’s problem is much deeper then the hordes of illegal invaders. It is one of the reasons that I left, never to return.

This is largely a result of eroded morals, “Pubic” education, including higher education, and a Marxist media.
While Americans may partially take back the country this year, and if there are elections in 2012, probably ousting the Marxist POTUS, it will be only a temporary setback for the Commies.
These people are dead set on the destruction of the USA, and creating the USSA.
Yes it can be stopped. But the means I would chose would be...harsh.
It is no longer a matter of building a fence along the Mexican border. An individual state would have to build a fence around all of it’s borders.
Perhaps the percentage is what you state,5-10% but its 100% emblematic of the problems we face and must,in my opinion,be dealt with on a 100% basis. Deportation,no amnesty and serious penalties for using false ID’s especially where they result in theft of services such as health care.

Hey laughable, you obviously are not looking at the same stats I am. Uncontrolled illegal immigration is an enormous expense.
No jobs, no healthcare, no education, no driver’s license, no food stamps = no illegal immigrants.

If you think of the country as the government then your assertion makes sense. The government is killing itself with a little pain added by the illegals. But the illegals are actually killing the nation. The historic peoples of America, whose legacy stretches back many hundreds of years before the Constitution are being displaced. Our language is being replaced, our history is being rewritten, our children will be disliked minorities in the land that their grandfathers built. That is a lot worse that the bloated FedGov finally choking to death on it’s own vomit.
