What I’d like to know is if we have a way of measuring how many illegal immigrants are entering, then why don’t we have a way of stopping them?

I live in a border state and am confident in the claim that illegal immigrant population has declined because I encounter (the person taking my order at Berger King speaks without an accent - stuff like that) far fewer foreign born people in my daily life.
