CALL FOR ALL of India's 'Untouchables' to get Rights

August 27, 2010 marked the one year anniversary of the passage of the historic law in Andhra Pradesh, India, a state with nearly 100 million people, givings rights to India’s ‘Untouchables’ who previously lost their rights if they converted to Christianity.

On this anniversary, Evangelist Dr. K.A. Paul called for India to make the state law national to become the law of the land for the world’s largest democracy.

Dr. Paul is calling for prayer and fasting throughout the world for India to give equal rights to all people, and to call their embassies to urge leaders in India to do the right thing.

India’s infamous caste system includes multiple unfortunate people groups, including Christians, who over the course of history were deems to be lower caste, rarely able to rise above the strata of their caste.

The so-called Untouchables, being the lowest caste, suffer through life without rights and privileges of the other citizens of India, particularly in rural areas, which comprises the bulk of the population of India.

The state of Maharashtra currently has 10% of the population of Untouchables, or ‘Dalit,’ a Hindi designation, similar to Black Americans who in nineteenth century America initially had no rights and later ‘elevated’ to being considered being three fifths of a citizen.

Dalits perform tasks often scorned by ‘higher’ Hindu castes that ironically include Ghandi’s high class, including having ‘low life’ Dalits to collect human excrement from dirty toilets to dispose in drains with bare hands and without protective masks.

Dr. K.A. Paul, a popular evangelist from Maharashtra, India, has been instrumental in the passage of this historic human rights bill and is now working on getting the Bill passed in India’s National Parliament to extend the rights to over 300 million ‘low caste’ ‘untouchables’ throughout India.

Stated Dr. Paul, “The 2.5 billion Catholics and Protestants worldwide will rejoice when this Bill is passed into law for the whole nation of India, freeing 300 million lower caste Indian citizens. To put the matter into perspective. That is about equal to the entire population of The United States of America.”

Believe whatcha wanna, Jimmy. The scammers in the Santa Clara valley are for the most part just what I said.

As far as being "worst hit", that's beyond stupid.

But then, so's your post.

Definition of a racist: anyone a liberal is losing an argument to.

You like India, spud? Move there.

Hmm, that’s interesting. Thanks!

What you’re saying though, is that the fraud is on the part of the American companies that hire them - to avoid hiring African Americans?

How would one go about suing them for this abuse?

Precisely. Well known scam, allows the HR people to cheerfully say "gosh we're diverse".

And carefully leave the citizens of Oakland...in Oakland.

I suppose there have been lawsuits that try to counter the practice, but they would have to amount to a demand for a quota, which typically fails.

I guess you are out of touch with reality. There have been at least three reports - one each from Cornell, Princeton and Dept. of Labor - which showed that Asians were the worst hit and being Asian was like adding negative 50 points to their SAT scores.

I always appreciate people who are intelligent and support the free-market. Stop wailing because you lost out to some smart Chinese.

That’s pathetic. Is there no group out there fighting this?

In fact, Regulator is wrong. Asians suffer as a result of affirmative action. See

http://www.usnews.com/articles/education/2009/10/07/do-elite-private-colleges-discriminate-against-asian-students.html

Why is this important? Because White liberals (especially women) are the biggest beneficiaries of affirmative action. While Asians get into medical schools and engineering schools that require hard work (which is why I appreciate them), areas like Sociology and Gender Studies have been created for the purpose of granting liberals a free pass into top universities. Once they graduate, they abuse their positions to destroy American values.

I deal with some of these Indians working in tech support and some of them are downright rude ! When you talk with them, they talk down to you. In my position, my job is to help them to get their s/w to work and a lot of times, I have to use the “tough love” approach where I will tell them that in order to move forward in the service ticket, this will be done.

> Isn’t it wonderful to know that the filth who benefited the most from the evil Caste system get affirmative action preferences in the United States when they come here?

> I have had many of them tell me that they “it’s natural” that they should get special treatment when they come here, because of course, they’re Upper Caste.

>That’s how they interpret it.

> Isn’t Third World Immigration great?

I have had many of them tell me that they "it's natural" that they should get special treatment when they come here, because of course, they're Upper Caste.

And of course you made this up. You are just proving that you are way too stupid to even think up a lie that is at least believable.

Sorry Jimmy, wrong again.

The last guy who told me that sat in the cube next to me...when he wasn't causing trouble for the whole company.

It was amazing to see him fired. Took a major initiative on the part of the HR department, but God Bless 'Em, they nailed the SOB.

Very satisfying to see Security escort him out. He quite simply thought no such thing could ever happen.

And there are many others, but why bother you with facts?

I've provided many of them. You of course have provided only name calling.

you provided me with anecdotes not facts, anecdotes that are a product of your fertile imagination. Facts are what I provided you in that link.

This is called a conspiracy theory. So the blacks have hundreds of thousands of unemployed computer programmers among them because Silicon Valley companies fear them? You live in CA, right? I guess you get too much information from Moonbeam to believe all sorts of nonsense.

Unfortunately this matter is more complex than most of you assume. Dalits already have access to a very level of affirmative action. They have reservations across the board, in education,in government jobs as well as in legislatures. There has been a President, the Chief Justice & the present chief minister of India’s most populous state who happened to be dalit.

The point made here is a complex one. The constitution of India makes allowances for Dalits on the basis of “Caste” & not their socio-economic background because that was the basis that they were discriminated by. The question is whether Christians or Muslims who claim to be casteless religions can cling on to their former castes thereby questioning the very nature of their conversion to supposedly escape caste discrimination. This is a pet project for missionaries who find that they have a dwindling base available to poach because many Dalits chose not to convert because they have access to affirmative action as long as they are defined by the castes. The Courts have consistently ruled against reservation being granted on basis of ‘caste’ to members of religions supposedly not having castes. Christians & Muslims are entitled to reservations if their tribes have been marked as backward or put in a schedule in the constitution (ST) because the nature of reservation is tribe based & not caste based.

Christian missionaries can’t have it both ways. Criticize Hinduism for caste discrimination & offer deliverance from that while claiming that Christians too have castes.
