According to Dave Neiwert, Eliminationist theorist in chief, when he looked at the crowd at the Restoring Honor rally, he was sure the next Timothy McVeigh was out there: Well, Glenn Beck's eyes certainly weren't dry. He started weeping while telling the crowd that somewhere out there was "the next George Washington".
Dunno about you, but when I saw pan shots of the crowd -- which was one of the whitest crowds in D.C. in recent memory -- I mostly thought I saw "the next Timothy McVeigh."
I just saw people peacefully exercising their constitutional rights of assembly and free speech in the best tradition of our country:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
Timothy McVeigh stood for the exact opposite of the freedoms protected by the First Amendment and the message of the Restoring Honor rally.
But what do I know? I'm not an Eliminationist theorist.
What a racist blancophobe.
When people accuse conservative crowds of being white, we really need to ask what their concern is. Is it somehow a immoral to be white? White crowds are not somehow automatically racist. How many times do white people try to reach out to minorities to no avail? Our own church has gone to extreme measures to integrate, and we have finally managed to get a more diverse crowd. But the whole time it was a struggle. Are well meaning whites to blame if blacks want no part of them?
Blacks were clearly invited and welcomed at Beck’s rally. Sharpton is the one who fostered segregation. How ironic that he claimed that this day belonged exclusively to blacks, when thousand of white lives were also dedicated to the struggle, first to emaciate slaves, and later to give them equal rights. Several blacks did courageously choose to come to Beck’s rally, which is perhaps what the liberals fear the most. Just as whites once were castigated for supporting MRK, these blacks bravely attended Beck’s despite the taunts, and even threats, of those who shared their skin color.
If liberals fail to segregate the races, there’s no telling what can happen.
