There has been a firestorm of controversy over the course of the last several days regarding Barack Obama's religious affiliations. This comes in the wake of Obama's endorsement of the mosque scheduled to be built in the shadow of Ground Zero, and a newly released Pew Research Center poll indicating that almost 1 in 5 Americans believe Obama is a Muslim.
In every news account of the Pew survey, it is stated that the results show that people "incorrectly" or "wrongly" believe Obama is a Muslim. But these accounts fail to point out facts which indicate that Obama has an Islamic background, and that according to Islamic law, once a Muslim, always a Muslim.
Here are the facts:
Barack Obama's father was a Muslim, and as such, Barack was born a Muslim under Islamic law as it is understood. This is indisputable. And even though his father supposedly renounced his religion, it is irrelevant. His mother's faith (it is said she was a Christian but this remains in dispute) is also of no consequence.
Obama was raised for a time in Kenya and attended a predominantly Muslim school. Insight Magazine reported that he attended a Madrassa, and, despite some news organizations claiming to have debunked that report, Insight stood by its story.
Obama has made matters worse by refusing to release his long form birth certificate, which has given rise to a theory on the part of "birthers" that there may be something he is trying to conceal with regards to his religious affiliation.
Barack Obama's claim that he converted to Christianity is viewed through the eyes of the Islamic world as a crime worse than murder. In other words, you cannot renounce the Muslim faith.
Obama attended a "Christian" church in Chicago pastor-ed by the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, a former Muslim and black nationalist who practiced and preached black liberation theology. In the 20 years Obama spent in that church, he heard sermons that echoed many of the sentiments of the Islamic world toward western society.
During the course of the campaign for the presidency in 2008, Obama attempted to cover up his Islamic background. Subsequent to his election, however, he has proudly professed his Muslim upbringing, and gone out of his way to reach out to and extol the virtues of the Islamic world, with trips to the Middle East, in which he bowed down before the King of Egypt, his willingness to sit down with Islamic leaders of nations that are state sponsors of terror without precondition, and even the appointment of a NASA Administrator, whose primary mission is to reach out to the Muslim community and make them feel good about themselves.
He has also made it the hallmark of his administration to eliminate the war on terror, re-labeling it an overseas contingency operation, and referring to terrorist attacks as man-made disasters. His own Attorney-General refuses to use the term "radical Islam".
Since his presidency began, Obama has not been seen attending any Christian church. He claims he does not want to cause a distraction. Funny how previous presidents have been shown with Bible in hand, walking into their churches, even if it was a deliberate photo opportunity.
And now, there is Obama's blessing on the new mosque being planned near the hallowed ground where nearly 3000 of our fellow citizens were brutally murdered on September 11, 2001.
This has led many Americans to question Obama's leadership, his loyalty, and most importantly, his faith.
Some are attributing the belief by one-fifth of the public that Obama is a Muslim to misinformation by the media, coupled with a growing dissatisfaction with his job performance, attracting them to negative labels.
Yet when he professes to be a Christian, but the evidence shows an empathy for Islam, it becomes clear to many Americans where this president's mindset is planted. In Islam.
The debate has ended. Obama is a Muslim.

And, on the other hand, how many Muslims have you heard say the prettiest sound they have heard is the Twenty Third Psalm or "Silent Night"?
Were he a Muslim that would not preclude his being POTUS unless the 1st Amendment has a loophole I'm not familiar with. And he did take the oath on, I believe, Lincoln's Bible. Is he a Marxist? Probably, and that's where the concentration should be.
I think the man is a humanist. he has no idea why or how people could get so attached to the idea of God and his son Jesus Christ. I think he actually feels bad for and holds in contempt, people that do.
In the end, he looks down on people that he sat in the pews with for 20+ years and he sees the world through the eyes of a person that has no connection with Christianity other than contempt for it’s morality.
Jesus will be deeply saddened to learn this.
Obama can fool the secular and the athiests and all nominal believers!! God help us!!

As a Marxist, he shares the ultimate goals of the Muslim jihadists: "the fundamental transformation of America", which he blatantly admitted just a few days before the election in 2008. He must be stopped by any means necessary. If we're not successful on 11/2, then we may be finished as a nation unless we consider opening the '3rd box'.
The people claiming he is not Muslim are the same Liberals that lie about everything else. I do not believe a word they say.

You are right. And, when someone writes and publishes an article with such blaring errors, it nullifies any point they are trying to make. This fellow is bad at research; he should have checked what he has put forth as “facts” about Obama’s history. He is also late and a bit trite with this argument. What he said has been said so many times, and much better...and more correctly. Too bad, this article is not worth much.
w/o the Old Testament, there is no New Testament. Israel IS the holy land for the Christian faith.
At the same time the number of people who now correctly (my bold), identify Obama as a Christian had dropped to 34 percent.
The implications, though not obvious to much of the general public are very serious. The media is a mere propaganda machine.

Muslim or not, he is ACTING AS THOUGH HE IS A MUSLIM. Being a Muslim and not being a threat renders a benign result. But a non-Muslim acting like one is a heck of a threat. So whether he's a Muslim or not doesn't matter to me ... if he "acts" like one then we've got a very dangerous problem. And this is what the American people are seeing ... he sure is "acting" like a Muslim, isn't he? They're probably a little stupid (for electing him) but they aren't blind.

By his behavior, Obama's not Muslim or Christian. He certainly favors muslims over all others, but he hasn't a shred of humility. I can't imagine Obama praying on his knees to any god, and that is why I believe, like you, that he believes in creating a better future for humanity by the works of government. People who reject God are left with nothing else; they have no foundation for morality, no absolutes to keep them from becoming what they detest, no promise of redemption. They are forever subject to the sinful natures they deny. They are worthy of pity and prayer, and nothing else.
