The superdollar is back folks! Another hit on the US financial crisis. Yesterday I wrote a piece in the epidemic of credit card fraud. Now we are getting hit with "superdollars". Flooding the market! If you don't recall the "superdollar" is a fake US 100 dollar bill manufactured in North Korea and elsewhere.
Aparently the quality is so good that they are making there way INTO ATM machines!
I can confirm our town in Central Florida has been hit with a bunch of fake $100 bills in the past two weeks.
Who cares? 0bama and congress have the U.S. treasury printing funny money even faster than the norks could ever dream of matching. /somewhat sarc>
What’s the difference if Korea prints our money or the US gov. prints it???
Theoretically, it might help our economy...
Someone, somewhere determines the value of the dollar...And it’s dropping like an airplane that lost it’s wings...
And that value, I understand, is based upon the amount of dollars that are circulating around the world...And our Gov. is increasing that supply exponentially...
So if there are more uncounted dollars in the U.S. which the Gov. doesn’t know about, the economy by way of the value of the dollar won’t take a hit for it...
That was literally my first thought
That's a good idea -- thanks!
I can imagine whoever the ultimate bagholder turns out to be -- banks or merchants -- they won't allow this to continue too long.
BTW, according to the Fed: "There is about $829 billion dollars of U.S. currency in circulation; the majority is held outside the United States."
That makes some sense, it's about $2600 in cash for every person in the US, I have less than $200 in my wallet most of the time. The North Koreans trying to screw us but instead screwing Colombian drug dealers is delicious!
Vegas just got some of my “C” notes last week..!
(I received pocket change in return from Aria...)
I realize that, but the thread seemed to indicate it is a resurgence, as if it had stopped.
Trends indicate a definite SPIKE would you agree?
Almost ALL the ATMs in Vegas, AC, Indian casinos, and riverboats, ONLY dispense hundos.
-= Step away from the computer =-
OK, this is hugh and series. There, somebody had to say it.
I don't think there's one bit of difference.
Another wink and nod to another act of war.
I am going to be myself here and ask, what’s the difference between the feds printing unbacked US $100’s and NK printing it besides the fact that we don’t have to pay for parts and labor? Seriously, kind of. I don’t understand the fed printing more money period. It sounds like counterfeiting to me.
Sadly they may be worth more than the ones our own government is printing.
I already responded to this by saying Casinos were likely the only places where Atm’s would dispense hundreds. The reasoning is obvious, if the minimum withdrawal is $100 then the likelihood is the minimum amount thereafter gambled will also be $100.
